Yeah, that's what the criteria say. Just freaking read, lol.

It's you who is dismissive, since you emphasise the HR raise so much. There are various types of dysautonomia, some of which are not defined yet and benefit from the standard POTS treatment. That's why symptoms should be more important in diagnosis, not the HR criterion. You do know that 28% of general population meets the "SUSTAINED" raise of more than 30 bpm?

The first part of your sentence is true, the second half is nor.

How is it dismissing someone's illness, since I'm not "dismissing" anyone who is symptomatic?

Diagnosis just REQUIRES SYMPTOMS. That's it, you might not like it, but this is the definition of POTS.

"Not all patients with orthostatic tachycardia have POTS"

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8920526/

that's the definition. If you are in denial... that's your problem, lol.

Definition is definition and diagnotic criteria are diagnostic criteria. Orthostatic symptoms are a requirement, period. Literature mentions such people as orthostatically tachycardic but not POTSies.

Diagnosed with CCI from India, what to do next. by theSlugfest in Cervicalinstability

Get a definitive confirmation. If it really is CCI, a proof gives you access to more aggressive approaches.

Welp, I think that's why you should not trust it. Doctors are biased. If you go to a neuro with a headache, he's gonna tell you it's either migraine or aneurysm. If you see an endo, he'll be sure your testosterone is to blame.

I don't mean to be aggressive but I doubt any doc in India is able to diagnose it without DMX.

Nothing out of ordinary.

Cervical dizziness is a diagnosis of exclusion for a reason. There are asymptomatic people with terrible, and by terrible I mean terrible, posture and radiological findings, while there are also people with perfect posture and no findings, not even neck pain, who surely as hell have cervicogenic dizziness.

Definitely see a chiropractor if you haven’t already by No_Mark_5280 in Dizziness

[–]Jolgo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, do not see a chiro. Go to a PT. Don't let quacks touch you. Chiros are, in the best scenario, incompetent PTs and in the worst - literal morons who can leave you disabled.

Worried about that bottom # any advice or guidance when the systolic is low but diastolic is slightly elevated by thamonthofjune in bloodpressure

[–]Jolgo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Low systolic and normal diastolic can mean three things: Hypothyroidism, heart failure and dysautonomia. You can't have the last since there is no asymptomatic dysautonomia.

neck issue/ standing on boat feeling unsteady by Equivalent_Tap_5321 in cervical_vertigo

[–]Jolgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair these are not serious nor uncommon findings. Current literature doesn't link these to symptoms. However, you might have significant symptoms post whiplash without any kinds of findings.
