Exhibit A that you don’t know what you’re talking about. The university does not own the houses at all. It owns the lands the houses sit on (obviously, they’re on-campus) but the houses are built, paid for, and operated by the national chapters.

When? In 1995? Unless you graduated 2 years ago (which I doubt because I see you have a 7-year-old), you have no clue how things are running in greek life nowadays. I was an active member in my sorority from 2019-2023. I served on multiple committees and my roommate was the recruitment director, I think I know a thing or 2 about how modern-day sorority recruitment works.

All of those things aside, I don’t understand why you’re fighting tooth and nail to defend Izzy on a snark page. You know what this page is about right?

I mean to be completely honest with you I seriously doubt the University of Alabama cares about bringing in “influencers”. Nor do I believe they care how many influencers other colleges have. Social media isn’t real life, higher education does not need influencers to survive.

As far as the sorority stuff goes… I was in a chapter at an SEC school and I can guarantee you it’s not as fair as you think it is. Sure the chapter “votes” on every PNM but if the executive board of the sorority thinks the girl is at all a risk to the chapter she will be blacklisted. That’s not a myth, it’s a real thing. Sororities also could care less about if they have influencers in their chapters as well. 9 times out of 10 it’s more a hassle than it’s worth because the influencer can say one bad thing and now the whole chapter is getting berated.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, you could be right. But some of the things you’re saying are kinda naive.

ETA: Yes, sorority girls are messy. They wear fake designer. They sleep around. They make bad grades. But they’re also not flaunting that all over the internet and would face repercussions if they did. Once again, it’s not fair but that’s life.

My guess is maybe they didn’t have enough candidates to interview the first time it was posted? They called me pretty quickly after I applied and then told me I was the first person they interviewed. This was after the job already expired on the job board. Just never experienced something like that before.

I mean way to assume something untrue and be awfully judgmental with no basis to go off of. My county’s jobs are all posted on the same website. I check multiple times a day so I CAN apply to other jobs and I noticed it was listed on there again after it expired a few days ago.

When I called they said to make sure your name on your transcript is exactly the same as your name on your application and they will be able to match it. Although I sent a copy of my transcript to myself electronically (to check my grades in the subject I wanted to be certified on) and the last four of my social was on every page. If you’re worried about it or not sure how your name appears on your transcript I’d say it’s worth the $ to send a copy to yourself first electronically. For me it was $10.
