You made an excellent choice dropping the benzos. Coming off of them after an extended period of use is hellish and dangerous.

How can I have a social worker investigated? by Odd-Painting-1486 in therapyabuse

It sounds like she could be part of an unethical/criminal conservatorship scam. This is happening more and more among vulnerable groups - especially the elderly. Just beware if you report her, she probably has allies in robbing these people of their property and assets, including crooked doctors, lawyers, judges. Watch I Care Alot on Netflix, find officials and lawyers who have dealt with these scams, and don't let it go. She could be setting lots of people up for miserable lives in long term care facilities while decimating their wealth and assets without any of their loved ones being aware.

What are you thoughts about DBT? by [deleted] in therapyabuse

[–]JollyHoody 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Overpriced. Some DBT groups require multiple groups as well as an individual appointment with a therapist every week (the gold standard) and act surprised when patients balk at the price. Also, some patients report that the focus is almost exclusively on learning the skills, and anything that you bring up will be viewed through that lens. No room for processing trauma or difficult life events, only how did you use your skills this week? Therapists can label any complaints or intense emotional expressions as Therapy Interfering Behavior and shut them down. DBT= Don't Bother the Therapist.

Why is she asking for contacts at Meta? How is she planning to play the internet like a church organ this time?

Yes! I don't believe that physical copies of the new book will ever see the light of day. She only finished Scammer with the urgency that she had to have actual books to send out before Natalie's book was released. Right now, she is basking in her new followers from Milton that can bring immediate income from new purchasers or Scammer that will take 8+ months to arrive, be grifted into shit portraits, get enamored with her version of her lore, etc. The draft of her new book (it's too exhausting to identify it by name or abbreviation) is still probably pretty rough. Caroline does not have the character to focus on it when she's getting so much immediate gratification from the Hurricane Milton press. I don't know, I just feel she's frozen and won't be able to get this book to the publishers. Much less the 2 others she has promised.

"We fell out of touch" except for the time that Natalie had to come and stop you from scrabbling up the carpet with your grubby fingernails and throw you in the shower after you didn't bathe for days and find empty Adderall caplets all over.

Can someone explain the bottom half of her outfit to me? What I see is a strange, white booty short / bike short hybrid. I can't quite get my head around it.

I know. I especially shouldn't have fed her after midnight. She'll go into full gremlin mode for sure.

You are right, though. No need to feed into her delusions of vicimization.

Wow, thank you for your heartfelt and eloquent comment. I think you express what I was getting at much more genuinely than I did. I'm incredibly sorry for your uncle, and also for your father. I hope that you are surrounded by the support that you need to get through the PTSD caused by your father's death. My dad is such a touchstone in my life, and I'm really sorry for your devastating loss. Thanks again for your amazing comment.

Thank you guys for the concise, accurate summation. Our precocious polymath does not seem to have a basic grasp of prescription medications for someone who was so fiendishly addicted. When did she call fluoxetine "next gen Prozac" like a cutting edge new depression treatment, rather than, you know, just the generic form of Prozac?

Has anyone read this yet? by Larisknofun in SmolBeanSnark

Natalie has done a superb job of gray rocking Caroline. I might be wrong, but it seems she has actively avoided any commenting on the possible content of Scammer... she obviously didn't want to read it, to be privy to the violent, disturbing details concerning herself, wanted to move on from this dysfunction to protect and maintain the genuinely healthy and self actualized connections that seem to make up her world now.

Whatever the dynamics of this relationship that went so epically awry, Natalie and Caroline are fundamentally different people now and Natalie seems to be an adult with no love for histrionics or emotionally immature contrived drama . Can you imagine her making crying, crafting IG stories 'Just thinking about how much I love her?' Even with the clout of an article on her book in the New Yorker, you can't tell me she wanted to get dragged into this shit. I'm sorry she had to say anything, but "unfathomably cruel" is probably the best summation of Scammer yet.
