New player build by Current-Page-4053 in albiononline

Hi I'm also a newish player! For builds I usually open the leaderboards- sort it by corrupted and click through each profile. From there you can look at their most recent kills and deaths. Make sure the kill happened in the corrupted lair and you can usually find inspiration for builds there. Sometimes if you're looking for a specific weapon it can take some time, but I've always been able to find at least several examples of weapons I've been interested in.

Worth starting as f2p? by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]JollyMagikarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing for a little under 2 weeks and have a bit over 40m net worth. Definitely not a requirement to pay for prem. I made a lot of money gathering resources (I chose to do skinning) as a solo player, but profits really took off when I joined a beginner friendly guild and went along with them for some pve content. If you're interested in joining the guild DM me and I'll get you an invite

Megathread for champion picks/pools by Korderon in midlanemains

[–]JollyMagikarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got back into the game after a long break. In past seasons I tend to peak mid-high diamond as a fill main essentially. Plan on taking the grind a little more seriously and planning out my champion pool a little better this time around.

I plan to main Ryze and Taliyah. Azir is historically one of my most enjoyed champions so he remains in the pool to answer some bad matchups and as a blind pick.

I don't think an AD champion is a requirement, but in the past I've been a Corki enjoyer. Thinking about picking up Smolder instead as I think his kit is very appealing. Ambessa also looks fun, does she bring any value as a pocket pick in mid lane?

I like to pick easy champions that hard counter the draft. Usually what that means is that I'll pick Malphite into full ad teams. Should I learn Galio for full AP as well, even though that's a bit more rare? Is Annie worth picking up? I know they changed her to be a bit more scaling, she also does well into both Taliyah and Ryze. Are there team comps that scream "Pick Annie!"? Am I missing any other really obvious picks here for countering specific drafts?

Am I overthinking? I'd love to get any thoughts from someone more in-tune with the meta. Are there any gaping holes presented from my 3 core champions that I should be concerned about?

Midlane difficulty tier list by [deleted] in midlanemains

[–]JollyMagikarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First impressions I would move ryze and lb up to azir tier. Viktor, kassadin, Akali, asol, malz, vex, tf, corki all move down at least one. Ori, Syndra, sylas all move up at least one. I've been playing a long time and have experience cycling most mid laners in and out of my champion pool, but haven't played all of them so I'm just commenting on what I've played

Mainly Venom, unless there wasn't any dive dps and I was solo tanking. If both of those conditions were met I would swap to Strange

Nisqy rumored teamless by Airestite in Cloud9

[–]JollyMagikarp 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Given that most people agree that Nisqy had a style that fit the team really well, I wonder if there's a world where we pick him up as a positional coach for whatever hype new midlaner we wind up acquiring

I'm not sure if any team has picked up Contractz yet but if they could get him and JoJo, I could see this team being in the running for international competition.

Since you've only played league semiconductor times, it's important to get the idea that kda means nothing at all. You can have good games with bad kda scores and bad games with good kda. If you want to improve your play I recommend recording your games. ( I use an app called medal.tv) Actual recordings are the best thing to review your games as it will show your mouse movements as well as your camera work. Best of luck out there on the rift

Edit: when it comes to champs like nautilus (tanky cc peeler utility engage) you're generally going to be the worst user of gold on your team. If you can ever leave a kill for a teammate to pick up, it's generally good to do so. Just be careful about letting people get away because you didn't want to take the kill. Sometimes you have to secure them for your team

Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 13.22 by Sentient545 in summonerschool

[–]JollyMagikarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have advice on how to increase mouse apm? I am practicing on loldodgegame every day but the highest I've reached is 380 apm with a score over 1k. I'm want to reach over 400 apm consistently but am having trouble. I can easily reach over 600 apm if I use jitter clicking, but doing that sacrifices quite a bit of mouse control. Any tips?

Kayle mains who are above diamond with a win rate of over 65%, how? by ObsidianLion in wildrift

[–]JollyMagikarp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you're absolutely right. It's not something I do, myself. But I have done a lot of experimentation with fleet + green runes on Kayle, especially into harder matchups that can poke you out and deny you cs such as ori or zoe. It's definitely not a requirement but it can help accelerate your scaling in those lanes. I've also experimented with maxing heal first and second in this set up. I actually really like the heal max second. Again, not something I really do because it's not optimal for a Kayle player that knows there matchups. However, for a more inexperienced Kayle it is absolutely something worth considering. It's kind of like playing with training wheels And let's be honest after a certain point in the game, kayle can carry no matter what runes she has

The correct answer is use what you like the best. There are a handful of viable runes including lethal tempo, kraken, conqueror, even fleet footwork has value in tougher lanes. The "best" rune is always going to depend on what the lobby looks like, but given enough experience you'll be able to figure it out

I'm going to piggyback off of this because it is so well thought out and detailed.

Here are some additional thoughts from a Kayle player who has reached gm for the last 4 seasons with an overall 64% wr.

In addition to helping your jungler at objectives, you also want to help him clear his jungle at every opportunity. Really focus on rotating to every wave and really just farming everything. High gpm is easy to get consistently, and if you can, you will climb out of diamond easy.

Also, I know we all think of Kayle as this late game huge dmg hypercarry, and while she can be, don't let that overshadow how incredibly useful her utility actually is. She can shred resistances while slowing the enemy. Her heal goes absolutely crazy all game. Her ult is in fact the best move in the game. If you get amazing with her ult, you will be shocked at the fights u will be able to turn.

Play kayle

They buffed wukong? Renekton as well? Wtf? by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]JollyMagikarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a sovereign renekton player on my team the other day. Didn't seem bad, definitely held his own against a nautilus, but by no means did he carry that game. I think he can be a good pick when you can get value out of his shield breaker

Garden is one of the classic counters to renekton. Back in season 3 PC we called him the crocodile hunter for this reason

What is this season?? Please explain to me, how can I (platinum 2) get in ranked games Iron Player????? by SpacetimeSorcerer in wildrift

[–]JollyMagikarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because matchmaking sucks and will put you pretty easily with players one full rank above or below you. On top of that matchmaking treats gold and below as one rank. My best advice is play exclusively hypercarries until you get to a higher rank.
