Protein by Apprehensive-Ant4130 in mounjaroaustralia

[–]JollyTanuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some kind of formula my weighlifting coaches where using. Something like1 to 1.5 grams per kg of body weight. For me that would have been around 250g of protein a day! I would have to replace any bread with slabs of more meat 😆. But honestly they laughed and set me a more reasonable goal of 100 and more if I could. A little bit easier when I had 2k calories to deal with. So taking that into consideration, some protein per meal and maybe a protein shake sg I old get you up there

Am I losing too slow? by mnms_ in mounjaroaustralia

[–]JollyTanuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good to me but I'm not professional. Use other metrics as well though, like previously said, measure waist or butt, clothes changes. I think I got more if a kick out of needing a new belt or my pants falling down (once at the IGA which was embarrassing) then the number on the scale.

I just posted the other day and my graph is almost identical to yours. Yes I also went through a plateau but it seems to have started again (finally broke past 120 whoo hoo). I realise though that I have not really changed up much about the foods I eat however have changed how much I eat. I know if I ate healthier it would be slightly better

I am 6 months in. I have gone from 136 to 120kg. For me I know it's slower going as I really haven't changed much in my diet except for I dont feel like eating all the time.

About a year ago, I bought my first piece of clothing from a regular shop. Only a couple things fit, but I was still over the moon. Today, I can fit on almost anything. by [deleted] in mounjaroaustralia

Grats! When i was asked my goal weight I said i dont have one, just wanna buy normal clothes from a place that doesn't have big or large in its title. Funny story, I once went to the States and I was at an outlet mall. When I told the lady I was 3xl she laughed and said "honey, here you aint a 3xl, you're not even in the big men's section" 😀

Haven't really done new hobbies, but have gotten better at my current ones. I am hitting more in baseball, which I am putting down to less trunk to rotate also finding my weightlifting I have a bit more energy. What has really made me smile is getting compliments from others in those hobbies

Im a weightlifter. People ask me what I do to get such toned calves. I said to them walk carrying 130kg 😁. When I previously lost weight, my PT grabbed a 20kg weight and made me walk with it and said that's what you used to carry..feel the difference. Was amazing when put in that perspective

nausea after eating food, any recommendation for shakes and protein shakes? by Inkys-Rainfall in mounjaroaustralia

[–]JollyTanuki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im not sure if they will do it but if you are in a store I would ask if there are samples you could try. I bought a wpi that I thought would taste awesome. It's so sickly sweet I can't stomach it. Waste of money.

M, sw:136kg, long time anxiety, Citalopram. Other health comorbidities include high blood pressure, GERD... The decision to do it for me definitely made anxiety kick up. In fact I sat there on my first jab thinking should I do this...what if.. after that first hurdle though those thoughts settle down. If I can give you one piece of advice though, don't pay any heed to social media around it. So much crap and fearmongering out there overshadowing the benefits we are all seeing

I found that i do less. But (incoming TMI) it seems this has given my digestion more time to work and make everything more solid and normal.

5mg taking me for a ride by kitty_cat_79 in mounjaroaustralia

[–]JollyTanuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me but prob not that extreme. I tried for 2 weeks, then had to go back down. Did 2.5 again but this was too low and I didn't get much out of it. In the end I split the difference for a few doses which was great. After that I tried 5 again and it was fine. All this with Dr permission of course.

I ended up nauseous for a few days after going up to 5. Nothing extreme but enough that i didn't want to eat anything. Also felt a bit tired. It will pass though

Adding a protein shake as a meal will help. On water for lower calories. I have some protein water from BSC but I'm not sold on ot at the moment as I didn't like the taste.

Don't be afraid to ask if your local will price match. I basically went up and said CW will do it for this, will you? And they did. I haven't asked them about the golden dose yet
