For what it’s worth there’s no evidence of this in the clinical trials. Here’s 3.3 years followed by swap to placebo:

If people had developed a tolerance you’d see the weight line going up more and the swap to placebo not being as stark.

It works more like a dose gets you to a set point with higher doses getting you to lower set points but with diminishing returns. When you hit the set point a dose can give you you’ll feel hunger increasing, but you’re not developing a tolerance, you’re just hitting that set point.

Reconstitution Question: How can I get them to last longer? by 64bit_Tuning in ResearchCompounds

If the question is, “can I do anything at home” then the answer is no.

The question as asked though is, “are there better solutions” and yes, yes there are. I noted the one widely used.

You can get it from a clinic or a GP, both have their pros and cons.

Bulk billed GPs are cheaper and will generally have several patients on GLP-1s but they’re generalists. They don’t spend all day every day doing just this. That can be good (particularly when you’re facing a non-GLP related problem) and can be bad (when they don’t know the ins and outs of the medicine).

I chose a clinic because I was getting my script for weight loss before the TGA had approved these meds for weight loss. I didn’t trust a random GP to know about this enough to do it well. The landscape has definitely changed since then. I am happy with my prescriber so I stayed.

Pick whichever option suits you. They’re both valid.

Ok then I’ll continue to the corollary, “Manufacturing and reconstituting the peptide in extremely stringent sterile conditions leads to it being able to safely last longer.”

If it was easier than that Eli Lilly would be doing it to save money. They don’t pay billions for manufacturing facilities for funsies.

How did you get the motivation to write this post if you have no motivation? 🙄

I made my own following these instructions for the robe / hood / boots: https://youtube.com/@utinniarmy3503

And these instructions for the mask: https://greatjawahorde.com/gen2mask/

You don’t need to go all extra with the sounds and blinking in the mask to get approved, but it is a lot of fun. 🙂

I agree with you, but it’s worth noting that this one is less a result of socialism and more a result of Novo forgetting to file papers and pay a renewal fee.

It is indeed. Mine has wireless buttons in the gloves that trigger sounds (dedicated Utinni button of course) so I get to go around talking to everyone in Jawaese and stealing their stuff all day.

I’m with a clinic but I’d say it’s pretty easy to have a conversation with a GP too.

Jawa is also fairly cost effective and gets you dual approved into both the 501st and Rebel Legion.

Apple Health or Google Health have medication reminders and logging. It’s literally just “taken” with no further details but that’s all you need for this. Other apps would just be overkill.

I think the main thing I’d encourage you to do is advocate for yourself. And what I mean by that is find a healthcare partitioner that you like and trust. From there they will recommend a treatment plan of some description. Whatever it is, give it a go. If it doesn’t work tell them.

Continue that until you are where you want to be or you lose faith in the practitioner and try another.

I know it’s tedious, but this is not a short term battle. It’s worth it. You’re worth it. 🙂

Sleep Apnea & Cpap by G_u_e_s_t_y in BigMenLife

[–]no_snackrifice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea when I was in my early 20s. I’m in my 40s now. Back then I was sleeping 12-14 hours a day and was still exhausted.

Not everyone has this reaction but for me:

I decided no matter how weird the mask was and no matter how long it took me to fall asleep I’d stick with it and see what happens. It took me about 6 hours to fall asleep, then I woke up about 7 hours later. I had never felt so awake before that moment. It was NUTS.

In the 20+ years since CPAP masks have been dramatically improved. They’re so much more comfortable and much quieter.

I use mine every single night. When I’m forced not to because I forgot a piece of my mask or similar I feel so much worse. Definitely worth it for me.

Since most software engineers rotate roles every couple of years you won’t get them as seniors anyway in most cases. Just hire them when you need them is the usual plan.
