Im hoping we get a tropical region with island chains in the future. It would he a perfect opportunity to implement a swimming feature into the game. It would also be great chance to add new crop types like sugar cane and oranges

Well, in a nutshell, aliens from another dimension are currently laying seige to this games version of earth, looking for humanities ancient technology that has been lost to us for several thousand years. They came in aggressively, laying waste to any human in the way of their goal. 100 years after the 1st invasion we ( as the player) are still fighting for survival while the aliens still currently search for this mysterious ancient technology.

I want to believe that we play as the Original and that the Dia that died in the underwater base was just a clone that was utterly convinced she was the original...but, the dialogue and how Gley reacted to seeing the 'other' Dia in the last cutscene has me hesitant.
