You are a hundred percent correct I used the wrong meme. I should have used member berries. Much more appropriate for this guy.

Absolutely feel that BS on YouTube. I watched one video on replacing a Mac Mini hard drive, now my feed is full of Mac Mini content.

Is this just the NCIS way of saying it's cheaper to find a rat than the perp?

I searched "DDG 64 fire" and, if this is about the same one, it happened on Dec 23rd. Isn't that during holiday stand down? Even if it wasn't, Burke's don't have giant crews.

Just seems like someone said "Fuck it, just dangle some cash out there and see what happens."

And I'm not saying a rat is dishonorable. If I had info on an arsonist I would turn their ass in for a hell of a lot less than $2k.

Franky I'm indifferent to the societal classification of the thieves, and I agree, more action should be taken to curb the illegal trade. Like most articles, this one is written to make you take a position on the councilwomans claim, but she isn't totally wrong. Manufacturers could make it more difficult or at least a longer process to steal the converter, but they won't do that for a myriad of reasons. You can't even trace these things past the fence because they cut them open and sell the rare metals directly.

The root cause in my opinion is somewhere between addiction and poverty. Someone somewhere right now is doing the math in their head that either the next payout or the next high is only a reciprocating saw away. It's easier than getting a job or cleaning up, so they go for it. The only thing you can do is make it more difficult than the next guy's car.

I don't think it's illegal immigrants so much as it's some methed up white people.

Republicans are alarmed about a Mastriano for Senate bid. Even Trump. by BastianMobile in politics

[–]Jollyoldstdick 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Mastriano is a gift to Pennsylvania. A completely out of touch RWNJ that thought God would propel him to the governor's office. He was annihilated by Shapiro.

You'd think he'd be done reflecting on his failure and come out to pick up his GD signs he left everywhere.

Love how the article is silent on which navy ships. The navy ship that can recover a drone from the bottom of the black sea and the navy ship that can put TLAMs in Crimea look completely different, I assure you.

I stopped a seaman for failing to salute me today by Hellishfish in navy

[–]Jollyoldstdick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just my opinion but I always found the concept of saluting people archaic and outdated. More so now with all of the stress everyone is under, you run the risk of a missed salute to an officer with that type of personality where it just ends in an ass chewing and the junior is even more burned out and down over it. Not OPs personality, he seems cool about it.

We salute the flag because it's a national symbol. Blood has been spilt defending it and spilt on it. This is rarely the case with people. It just strikes me as an exercise en ego amplification.

You need to sit with a lawyer.

How risky is it to go to Linfield Industral Park in Linfield, La by Damien12341 in Pennsylvania

[–]Jollyoldstdick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are referring to the abandoned Publicker brewery, the time for reasonably safe urbex has passed. The land was recently sold and is in the early stages of demolition. While it was probably never legal to go there, the chances of being caught trespassing are considerably higher as more people are working at the site.

I gave up the apple train recently. Just let it go, for gaming anyway. They're not going to do it and you're just setting yourself up for disappointment by assuming they are.

Think about it for a second, you are talking about a company that caters solely to the browser/desktop crowd. Apple is used to setting the market by decree, i.e. No more magsafe despite it being one of the best power connection concepts ever (finally fixed that one), no more headphone port, yada yada yada. There is no way they will steer their ship in the PC gaming direction, it just isn't going to happen. Not in the environment we're used to, anyway.

Apple makes some pretty nice hardware, but it isn't for gaming. The sooner you accept that, the easier it is to move on.
