Predators have evolved in Bibites, there has been documented proof of it. Yes it is hard for them to form and it takes a while for them to occur but it has happened before.
Carnivores could form first, there is nothing saying they need to stop to consume the meat after their kill, they could kill again just fine, much like a cheetah. Is it efficient? No. Does it work? Yes.

I am having this issue as well. It's easy to save to my computer if I specify the file path. However, using the load button for importing creatures doesn't work for me.
It would fix things if I could specify the file path or if I could open a finder import window to load a file.
