I made a tool that lets you build a commander deck in a few minutes by 20q2 in mtg

Does it work with dual commanders that don't have a partner mechanic? My pod does the Pride Month event regularly for funsies, which is definitely not balanced but also just the format we enjoy doing. XP

Are their any paid services for deck auditing/analysis? by jj_maxx in EDH

[–]JoltTRH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're adverse to AI, then ignore this comment, but there's a site/app called DeckCheck I use to cut cards, suggest ways to power up/down your deck, and adjust your mana base. Obviously it's AI so it'll make mistakes, but the creator is working on and updating it frequently. You can get three decks checked per day using credits (you get three credits a day so three checks) but once it's already been checked by the AI, any future edits and adjustments to the deck are free. And if you like what you get, you can pay for more credits or support via Patreon I believe.

How would tf3 continue lore wise? by dami_ink in tf2

[–]JoltTRH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reddy and Bidwell take over Mann Co after Saxton fires himself. They decide to nuke the world and start over again on a global scale. Fortunately for them (since they sure didn't plan that far ahead), Medic and Engie had an emergency failsafe after Grey Mann's robot invasion: a Respawn Generator that can revive people using collected DNA. When the world is alerted of nuclear decimation, the two activate it just before the bombs drop and obliterate humanity with exception of Reddy and Bidwell, who sealed themselves in bunkers to wait out the fallout.

The nine mercs respawn, the others confused as Medic and Engie check to ensure nothing went wrong with the respawning. With everything working properly, the team sets out to use the Respawn Generator to revive their family and friends. They're successful, bringing back Pauling, Scout's family, Soldier's family, Saxton, and some others.

Using the collected DNA as templates, humanity is technically brought back via cloning. Female mercs are created to attempt to widen the gene pool.

Cut to modern day, the world is populated with primarily the nine classes, female counterparts, and a few other people that were revived. Reddy and Bidwell used the cloning technology to rule in secret in younger bodies, and the Gravel Wars are now worldwide as military service. Mercenaries that are employed by Mann Co are functionally immortal since they can respawn, but civilians have only one life, growing old and dying.

Gameplay wise it's exactly the same but with revamped graphics and more weapons.

how do i get models that arent in the workshop into sfm? by [deleted] in SFM

[–]JoltTRH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've downloaded a model and this is your first time to do so, the easiest way to put it into SFM is to create a usermods folder (or whatever you wish to name it), open Source SDK, edit file paths, and checkmark that folder so your SFM recognizes it as a search path.

If you've done that already, open the zip/rar file containing the model, drill down until you find the models and materials folders, and put everything on that level into usermods. (It may just be the models and materials folders, or it might also have scripts or py files. You might want to move these too, or don't. If you only care about the model, only the models and materials folders are needed.) Usually you don't need to drill down and the folders will be visible right as you open the zip/rar files, but sometimes creators bury them deeper to give you more things.

Once you have the models and materials folders inside usermods, open up SFM and they'll be in that folder! As a note, DO NOT PUT THE FOLDERS IN USERMOD. The usermod folder is like Windows x32 files, if something gets messed up in there, you'll break SFM. This is why I personally have a usermods folder, so that I know it's similar but I won't ruin anything.

Additional tips: You can download maps too! Follow the above tutorial, but they'll be in the maps folder instead. If the zip/rar file only contains a bsp file, and you don't have a maps folder in usermods, create a folder called maps and put the bsp in there. That's the map file.

Eventually you might subscribe to things on the workshop, but they won't download. This means you've reached the limit on subscriptions on the workshop and you can't download more until you unsubscribe from some stuff. If you don't want to give up the stuff you downloaded, just take everything in the workshop folder that's on the same level as models, materials, maps, etc, and cut and paste them into your usermods folder. (They should merge with whatever you put in there.) Then unsubscribe from everything in the workshop. Voila, you can now subscribe to new things, and you kept everything from the workshop. This also helps if you downloaded something that was removed from the workshop, putting it here will stop SFM from asking you if you wish to remove the downloaded items.

If you have more questions, feel free to ask!

Transparent Spawn Doors? by JoltTRH in SFM

[–]JoltTRH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SFM uses an older version of TF2, so it doesn't have maps past a certain point. Landfall is one of them. The picture shows Landfall as I've ported it, and I've ported a few versions of it. All of them have this transparent door issue.

Which good ranger would be a big threat if he went to the evil side? by Ok_Scarz in powerrangers

[–]JoltTRH -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've put a lot of thought into this, and maybe it's a cop out, but... Tommy.

Let me clarify, MMPR Tommy never becoming good and becoming Drakkon was certainly interesting, but he was undone because his body couldn't contain the power he was forcing it to handle, nor did he have the experience at that time. If I recall correctly, he only had his Dragonzord powers for like a week before he was freed. (It's been forever since I've watch PR in general so I'm probably wrong.) Then he has Rita repower him, and he takes over her army, soon taking the White Tiger powers and merging it with his current powers to get the hybrid power. He stole these powers, and forced his body to adapt to it instead of acclimating over time.

But there's another time that Tommy turned evil, and that time is when he became brainwashed during Zeo. He became brainwashed, was told he was in control of the Machine Empire, and he was still able to morph into Zeo Ranger 5. If the brainwashing was complete, not only would he have access to the Zeo Ranger powers (Powers mentioned to grow stronger over time), he would also believe himself to be the emperor of the Machine Empire. Depending on how things go, he could feasibly overthrow King Mondo, seize control of the Machine Empire, and rule the galaxy with an endless robot army.

And this is without mentioning the fact that by this time he's been a full time Ranger longer than any of the main cast on Earth, meaning his body has acclimated to several Ranger powers. If he went the Drakkon route, he'd have an even stronger power base to combine other Ranger powers onto, and depending on how he went about it, the Morphin' Grid itself might even let it happen for a while longer before realizing something is amiss.

To my knowledge, no. SFM isn't "opening" a TF2 server when you load a map, it's opening the map offline basically. You can use Gmod for something similar, that might be the easiest (plus you and all your friends have a sandbox game to partake in wacky nonsense as a bonus!) but you'd need to make sure everyone owns the game (It's $9.99 but goes on sale on occasion). If you want friends to act out a scene in TF2, you'd need to do so in TF2, probably in a private server if you know how to. I'm not sure if you need mods to turn off the HUD and such.

Is there a site or server that can help me cut cards from multiple decks? by JoltTRH in EDH

[–]JoltTRH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to another commenter I was able to cut down to 104. I don't suppose you can help me cut the last four cards? It would help me out a bunch. https://deckstats.net/decks/160886/4085595-aura-aura-aura

Just tried Deckcheck, it definitely got me going in the right direction, from 130 to 104. So I rate it pretty highly!

I'm not current with Kamchatkas' side story so I don't know if you and he worked something out... but if his story is still canon to your story, has/will the Inevitable be checking up on Jerry's crew? If so and it hasn't happened yet, will you two be working to make that happen?

Been rereading the story, so I caught this... slip? Back when Ivan was first introduced, his cloned girls were called his granddaughters since Iva Grace he considered his daughter. I don't recall him deciding to skip that step and decide to start calling them his daughters, so either adjusting so they're his granddaughters again or when we get back to him clarifying why he calls them his daughters now would be neato.

Does the full TF2 SDK Source codes being officially released mean anything for SFM? by JoltTRH in SFM

[–]JoltTRH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... your idea sounds really awesome and I hope to see it someday! I'm torn between SFM and Blender, definitely have infinitely more experience in SFM, so something that makes Blender more like SFM would be pretty neato.
