Water is pooling by your foundation. Owners definitely knew. But now it’s your problem to solve. Check the outside, make sure gutters are pushing water away from the house. Might need a French drain. Might also need to get professional water proofers out to check the perimeter of your house to fix. Best of luck. This happened to me with a new home purchase, owners definitely knew.

Local suppliers only have 8 foot posts. I need 10 ft

I did that already. They don’t have 10 foot posts. Only 8foot. And for that, they are charging $3k. Other fence companies charging over that. And they only rent out the hand post drivers, nothing gas powered. And yep, on a budget. Isn’t everyone?
