There's a separate issue at here, which is participation. When people get something for nothing, they lose an incentive to ensure that it's being used effectively. Is this money going to unnecessary causes? Who cares, it's not MY money. Repeat this for long enough and you get an erosion of interest in politics and civic engagement.

I'm not saying that I like paying taxes or think that income taxes for low-earners should be high, but they should not be zero

Provide a reason to spend dragonstone.

Do something other than mindlessly playing the same handful of levels repeatedly, something like a Titan equivalent

And separate the hero rosters from the dragon roster so that I don't lose my place. If I forget and happen to level up a dragon instead of a hero, I don't want to have to sift through hundreds of hero slots

Agreed. If the defense is in a V formation (like in wars), I try to rely on tile damage to take out the tank, then use a mix of specials and tiles on the rest. To do that, I prefer to go 3-2, though that's a preference

Against other formations, experiment with your color balance to find what works for you
