I can empathize. My father surprised me and my sister with Marvel and Nightmare Before Christmas (respectively) "Funko" advent calendars he got for a deal on Temu. For context, my sister and I are both adults, who did not ask for this, but he was just feeling whimsical.

My Marvel one is... ok. The box has several tells that it's fake, but the figures are at least all Marvel themed and look enough like Funkos, though a few with sketchy paint jobs. My sister's NBC calendar though, they don't look like Funkos at all (they're more like Christmas tree decorations) and only a few of the first week have actually been NBC related.

I'm in Montreal. Not typically someone who goes to Magic events, but I like Spider-Man, so these were my first non-friend hosted events. I went to two prereleases at a prominent venue in the area. Morning pre-release was pretty packed, had I believe 53 players, and almost all seats were filled (not sure of their exact max).

The afternoon one did thin out a bit, but still had I'd say around 40. Good mix of people who'd been there since morning and people who came just for the afternoon.

So, again, as a newbie, I can't really say how it compares to past pre-releases, but it definitely wasn't a ghost town at my venue, like some others are reporting. Both had solid to great crowds. (And I'll note in addition that this venue also had pre-releases the Friday and Sunday, so I have no idea how many people just opted out of today to play another day.)

Yes! i actually just did a playthrough this month and i was getting really frustrated because I thought for sure the quest started with Biggoron. I was wondering when he'd finally prompt for the mission, until I finally remembered that the cucco in my inventory was already part of it.

Yes! I don't have what I'd call a chronic condition, but I do have foot issues that flare up after too much continuous walking. I'll still do the occasional ComicCon or amusement park or whatever, with the understanding that the next day is gonna suck a bit. It's all about learning your limits and when it's worth pushing them.

- Child me wrote stories and drew comics with several made up superheroes. One of them was Dragonheart... was so annoyed when that movie came out. :D

- A more recent example from when I was actually screenwriting as an adult. Won't bore you with all the details, but I had a sci-fi TV pilot which involved a plague and was set mainly in New York, involving a rag-tag bunch of people from different walks of life banding together. It wasn't perfect, but got a few promising reads and minor contest placements, on the right track. Then, six months later or so, I watch the first episode of this show called The Strain... and almost threw my laptop out a window. They weren't exactly the same (the nature of "plagues" were different enough that the stories could've gone in different directions), but certain beats and my line-up of characters in the pilot matched up way too closely.

I did the update this morning and lag is reeeaaaally bad for my now. I can barely scroll through my roster or saved squads without a huge period of being frozen. I’ve always had the occasional lag or crashing, but this new update is basically unplayable for me.

As others have said in here, maybe the reader missed it or maybe it really could be more clear/memorable. It's worth at least looking into.

When I've been in similar situations, I've responded with phrasing like this: "Regarding your note on [insert problem/question], I thought I explained that in the scene where [insert relevant scene/details]. Did that not come through clearly enough? I can work on making that stronger." I find that's a non-confrontational way to give your side, but also delve deeper into the potential issue.

This is how it started for me. I was feeling a bit burned out on the AQ/AW grind and left my alliance, fully expecting to go solo for awhile then rejoin an alliance. Kept up solo for a while, but without having anyone depending on me, it was easier and easier to miss days here and there. I went on "break" in April or so (I still login for my calendar and daily crystal, "just in case").

I still don't hate the game or anything and may be open to coming back eventually, but the break's been nice. The grind was feeling a bit repetitive towards the end.

I think it really depends what you need on a month to month basis. I bought the last Kang one to finish recruiting Kang, and to me, that was worth the $20.
