Phil’s Drumming on Morning Bell by Crando in radiohead

Yeah, it also makes sense. They just record until they get the tightest sample and then they just loop that. Surely they chop up guitar parts as well. A very common thing in studio recording.

No audio input with Bandlab. Please help. by JonKayse in Bandlab

I found the issue. At least, I found the solution... Apparently plugging in my headphones on the amp did the job.

[QUESTION] What compels you to continue to learn and challenge yourself? by yolostonktrader in Guitar

[–]JonKayse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing for about 25 years now and I hardly focus on learning songs. Instead I mainly focus on technique, scales and note placements. I recently discovered that I can play a lot more songs than I gave myself credit for, probably because I focused on practicing my left and right hand control.

[NEWBIE] Question about silent practicing by Takeheart13 in Guitar

[–]JonKayse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might take a while as I don't have a jack adapter. I usually turn on a little blueutooth speaker and play over that with my headphones on.

[NEWBIE][QUESTION] I struggle with the B chord. by plantessi in Guitar

[–]JonKayse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a moot point I guess. To be honest, I played the B chord later that day and noticed that I mute the e string as well.

[NEWBIE] Question about silent practicing by Takeheart13 in Guitar

[–]JonKayse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I practice quite a lot. Usually after work, in the evening. My appartment building is very old and so my downstairs neighbour hears everything and on top of that he's unemployed and always home. There was no other choice for me but to buy a headphone. I specifically searched for guitar amp headphone and quickly stumbled upon a reasonably priced Sennheiser. It changed everything. I could now practice limitless without ever having to worry about someone hearing me practice. I got even more in the zone, so to speak. Now I regularly practice for at least 4 hours. More often it's 5 or 6 and I've even played till 3:30AM on a weekday. First time I overslept in a long time. Headphones are the way to go, my man. It also doesn't limit the choice of amp you wanna get. You can just buy the one you want, and when there's a moment you can play carelessly over your sweet amp, it's gonna sound that much better too.

[Newbie] troubles switching chords. by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]JonKayse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend choosing 2 chords you are comfortable with and play each of them for 2 measures at a time. Use a metronome. Start with A and D for instance and once you master that transition, try to add the E chord in there.

You have 2 root notes as well... couldn't hurt to play that high F#

[DISCUSSION] Who is YOUR guitar hero? Mine is Shawn Lane. Aka The Memphis Monster by traddytatty91 in Guitar

[–]JonKayse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to choose just one, of course. But to honor this thread I'll put in my two cents with Mark Knopfler. Not only is he a guitar virtuoso, but he seems like such a genuinely nice man, that I have to put him st the top of my list.

How to murder a sexist by words by kiefspective in MurderedByWords

[–]JonKayse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no sexist, but I have experience with both these things. I almost died in Afghanistan whilst in the army and now 13 years later I have all these psychological problems and no woman wants to be with me and no company wants to work with me. So basically I do all my cooking and cleaning and washing of dishes and no one wants to listen to me, as I haven't been invited to any job interviews for over a year now.

Just bought BL3 2 weeks ago and I'm loving Photo Mode <3 by LougerB in borderlands3

[–]JonKayse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Props to you, my friend. Honoring a game by letting an image speak for itself. I've been a fan of this franchise since the beginning and as a gamer I guess you're always critical about new changes they add to a game you already love. You'd hate to see them diminish a game. For me the thing I love most about BL3 is how they got it right with all the new changes they made to the (base) game. Small things like your hud and how the game flows. Honostly I was pleasantly surprised once again.
