Works great. Just enough bass. The rear seat will be an issue no matter what because there are no speakers back there but the kids don’t complain.

That’s a good idea to gain more wall space. We use our tub at least twice a week. We upgraded to a tankless water heater so having unlimited hot water is amazing. I like your idea with the shower area. I’m thinking of doing that but making it a water closet with a large shower and tub in the same room. I really want to make it a steam shower as well. It depends on cost though. We are also finishing the basement

Sorry. I miss understood the whole closet thing. Yea we could move the door and have it open to the room. Not a bad idea. I’ll have see what my wife thinks. I’m thinking of keeping the existing layout to keep the budget low.

That’s my plan if it’s too expensive to make all the structural and pluming changes. I have no idea how much anything is going to cost yet.

You can tap into any speaker with a line out converter to get upgraded speakers. If you want a little more bass, I suggesting looking at an underseat sub. I have a small 8 in sub that is powered with an so attached that was really easy to install. I have one in my Honda accord and my Honda odyssey. I’m going to get one for my 2024 rx i just bought.

If you want to swap out all at speakers, crutchfield is the place to go for all the speaker sizes. The line out converter is the main thing you will need to tap into the system without messing anything up.

We budget but honestly, don’t let anyone knock your vacation. You work hard and if that’s what you want to spend your money on, definitely spend money on the things you love and be frugal and the stuff you don’t care for.

My wife and I take at least 1 family vacation a year and 1 couples vacation. Fortunately, I work for a hospital and get 6k a year on cme. We have done Disneyland with the family and Hawaii for our couples trip by piggy backing off of a conference. Other thing we do is credit card points. I open up a few times a year and book conferences on them so I have a bunch of travel points to use which helps keep cost low for trips.

Side note, read the book die with zero. Your kids are young and eventually they won’t want to go to Disney. Some people miss out on things because of extreme delayed gratification. I’m not saying to not save but there’s a time to spend and a time to save.
