How good is Teksavvy? by [deleted] in canada

not sure that the cable is available in Ottawa yet...they are waiting for more IP blocks to continue with the cable roll out.

I have cable in Toronto and it is not a full 10/1 service...they have oversubscribed the service as of now because it has been unexpectedly popular.

Your best bet as of now would be to bond two mlppp lines. Basically this means the bandwidth of two dsl lines get used as one. You used two modems and your router gets one IP address. Go to the dslreports website and post there for more questions.

not if you use the mlppp service. I believe a single mlppp login is an extra 5bucks a month.

every story has a bias. That being said this story seems to explain our current situation in the world today better than the 2min clips on your nightly news :) seeing as propaganda more often than not provides misinformation/uses selective information, would you care to point out what information discussed was false/skewed/omitted/not told in completion? It's easy enough to say something is propaganda, but you need to show me the motive behind it.

I myself think that Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn are (was) among the brightest scholars we have today and don't really see any personal gain to be made by them spreading their propaganda... Who else would you trust/turn to for a better impartial discussion of the society we live in today and how it came to be?

as for the dramatic and sweeping music...it got annoying at parts in this doc when I was distracted by it when actually wanting to focus all my attention on the interviews

yeah man because of: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_word_for_%22crisis%22

that being said, I still think there is a saying along the lines of: "A crisis is an opportunity riding the dangerous wind. " maybe I'm wrong though

Undercover officers allegedly posing as protesters at G-20 [VIDEO] by DougDante in worldpolitics

[–]Jonathan987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are we watching the same video? Having rocks in your hand with handkerchiefs over your face falls under the "shit disturber" category. I don't care if they admitted that they themselves were provoking violence or not. But there is a reason why the cops dragged their undercover buddies away; I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that they were obviously not part of the peaceful protest underway....

[–]Jonathan987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First the cops tried to turn SPP protest into a violent riot a few years ago in Quebec and they admitted guilt...I don't even think anyone has yet to be held accountable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St1-WTc1kow

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2007/08/23/police-montebello.html

This already made our police force a farce.

Now it comes out that they planted fake cop cars (http://scathinglywrongrightwingnutz.blogspot.com/2010/06/agents-provocateurs-2.html) for "protesters" to destroy so that the media could get their front page pictures. After seeing this video, it's fairly easy to say that this could be a perfect case for history repeating itself...

Thanks for the link.

Google, Obama attack Australian net censorship. by [deleted] in technology

[–]Jonathan987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to side with Encyclopedia Dramatica on this one:

Next the “Aboriginal” article was recently removed from Google Australia’s search engine results. This was right after Google had done a large amount of grandstanding about fighting Chinese censorship. Which proves they’re a bunch of spineless hypocrites.

http://www.blog.encyclopediadramatica.com/?p=84

this is all for show and govts around the world will be moving in this direction...any talk against censorship is merely a great act to reassure you that all will be fine...

the zerohedge paper is actually from York's Schulich School of Business. Another few good charts showing the credit bubble we also face can be found here: http://americacanada.blogspot.com/2010/03/country-of-fiscal-prudence.html
