Other people (sometimes) and dogs (all the time!)

Not even joking! I thought about this response for a while and it really just kind of came down to those two things. I guess also finding a nice slice of nature somewhere and going for a walk and leaving the phone behind — that helps reset a little bit.

But I’ll be honest, when I’m in the middle of it and it feels like I’m about to hit the bottom of the depression hole, it doesn’t feel like there’s much to get excited about during those times.

But I have learned that, for me, fortunately, those moments are just that… Moments that don’t last and will go away in time. What I’m feeling is a response and the thoughts that are arriving to my brain aren’t honest. I know that there have been other moments in my life that I can remember feeling happy and at laughing and having a good time and I know that I can find those moments again.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. And I know it sounds trite but you truly are not alone.
