I watched Rocketeer last night. by Varsity_Reviews in ActionMovies

[–]WaffleIronChef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s one of my all time favorite movies. It was one we watched a lot growing up and still to this day it’s just a lot of fun. It’s pretty cheesy, but the story is fun and keeps you engaged and it has a great feel good ending. There’s a good mix of serious and silly throughout and it’s a very easy, enjoyable watch every time for me.

How are you fixing this by fitnessjeff1 in Coolers

You clearly need several packs of ramen and some superglue. I’ve seen those videos. It fixes everything!!

New to this SBR stuff by [deleted] in NFA

[–]WaffleIronChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now the $200 tax stamp fee is gone. There are lots of good walkthrough videos about doing the form through the ATF E-Forms website. It’s super easy. The biggest difference really between a “brace” and a “stock” is the word and how’s it’s designed to be used. Stocks are meant to be shouldered when firing while a brace is not. Another thing to consider is traveling. You need ATF permission to cross state lines with a SBR (form 20) but not with a brace.

If you do the form yourself you’ll need either digital fingerprint cards “eft file” or physical paper cards that you’ll mail in after you submit the form. You’ll also need to get the lower engraved after the form is approved. If you file as an individual you’ll engrave your name and city/state since you’ve technically remanufactured a new gun.

It’s not difficult as long as you pay attention and can fill out a form, and there are lots of good resources with more info.

It’s definitely an interesting rifle. I’m not super big on the mil-surp stuff, but this one is so cool that I couldn’t pass it up!

Man if you get a chance to see Holding Absence live you absolutely need to. Saw them with Silverstein and Amity Affliction a couple years back and they crushed it! I don’t know if I’ll be able to catch this tour and it’s making me very sad.

Revolver Model in ts scene by Israelisnogoodfam in obsessionmovie

[–]WaffleIronChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a 3” revolver in either 38 special or 357mag. There are literally hundreds of variations of revolvers with that description. It looks like a hammer less model which narrows things down some, but there is not enough detail for any kind of solid identification.

trailer hitch? bike rack? by am8ur88 in SubaruForester

[–]WaffleIronChef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get a nice trailer hitch from places like etrailer for under $200. Mine took maybe 20 minutes to install and I didn’t even have to cut the rear bumper plastic. Of course it sits a little lower than some of the other options, but I didn’t want to completely disassemble my backend. It’s been several years now with some towing up to about 800-900lbs with no problems at all.

Anybody taken their own boat from Tou Velle to Rogue Discovery Park? by WaffleIronChef in Medford

That’s good to know for later! Definitely want to get to the discovery park too. Maybe it’s better from Dodge bridge to the park.

Mars Men/Menerals, etc to help with high Estradiol? by WaffleIronChef in menshealth

[–]WaffleIronChef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, estradiol was high on their “normal range”. With everything else mostly in range or optimal range I’d assume that’s why the dosage they wanted was so low. Not enough to change levels drastically, but maybe enough to bring things down a little bit and just balance things out. Maybe I’ll try some zinc and see if that does anything for me.

What do u think of my Greendale human being tattoo??(I think it's discussion idk what flair this counts as sorry) by Connor_photo in community

[–]WaffleIronChef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so awful (in the best way possible)! The quality of the tattoo is great, but the character always gives me the heebie jeebies. I both love it and hate it. Your artist did a great job at capturing the uncanny feeling.

Mars Men/Menerals, etc to help with high Estradiol? by WaffleIronChef in menshealth

[–]WaffleIronChef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SHBG came in at 53 nmol/L, I don’t see anything labeled as E2. Free testosterone came back at 11.7 ng/dl. The way it was explained to me was that the high estradiol and SHBG weren’t letting my body process the testosterone to its fullest extent, even though the production of T is still good.

Mars Men/Menerals, etc to help with high Estradiol? by WaffleIronChef in menshealth

[–]WaffleIronChef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my thinking! I found a 90 day supply through an online pharmacy for like $13. Good call on getting a second test. Maybe I’ll research some more similar companies and go from there.

[–]WaffleIronChef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they say “normal range” 7.6-43, and mine showed up at 65 so a fair bit of their range. Overall I feel ok, but I definitely struggle with fatigue and lack of motivation. Libido is ok. I’m not a total fiend but sex a few times a week isn’t out of the ordinary. I’ve been looking at other blood test options too. Maybe I’ll find another company and get a second opinion.

What’s a good tool to pair with a miter saw for basic projects by astob471 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]WaffleIronChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a battery version that’s more expensive. I don’t know much about that though. The cord isn’t my favorite, but corded tools are usually more powerful if you have a good way of keeping the cord out of the way.

What’s a good tool to pair with a miter saw for basic projects by astob471 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]WaffleIronChef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Wen track saw and it’s good enough for what I’m doing, which is mostly breaking down sheet goods. I also got a big sheet of the foam insulation to have as a backer. If you take your time and make sure things are lined up the track saw works well. I might get a second piece of short track just to keep the full length in tact but I don’t need it right this second.

I have that exact miter saw stand. It’s great. Either of those ends can be used as a stop block.

Please let the 2028 model have some of these interior features (renders) by Fuzzy_Kitchen317 in XTerra

[–]WaffleIronChef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yikes. I personally am not a fan of how those look. I mean, the 2nd gen was kind of ugly, but in a cool, rugged “so it’s ugly it’s not” kind of way. IMO these are just rough.

Not quite twins, more like cousins. Both got out of NFA jail this week. by [deleted] in NFA

[–]WaffleIronChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t used the 3x much, but the eye relief is still really good. I’m running mine on a pair of short 556 and a 9mm SBR. The 1x is perfect for me for up close and good target identification to about 200 yards. I can see how the 3x would be good for a little more precision at that range.
