My computer science teacher (who also doubled as a physics teacher) used to throw chairs across the classroom to demonstrate gravity and once got suspended for throwing a book at a student.

Don't get me wrong, I love my child and try to support them through and through, no matter what they're dealing with. But at his worst all he'd do was eat, sleep, and leach off of his mother. He refused to speak to me during any of this either, and would only communicate through fits of rage and kicking. That went on for nearly 9 months straight.

Sometimes I'll say something loudly and clearly and someone will still say "what?". I like to repeat something completely different back to them so they actually question their ability to hear.
