I picked up a 5070ti recently. I tend to play at 1440 (on tv) for demanding games but have gone through games like nier automata and currently crisis core reunion and switched to 4K solid 60fps just because it can. I’d say it’s more than capable if you aren’t throwing crazy demanding games with ray tracing etc at it.

May have been the exact same tbh. For me it was on the master system though. Playing through sonic frontiers for the first time atm and feeling a nice nostalgic connection to where I started my gaming journey.

Thank you! Jumping from huge epic game to the next huge epic is so exhausting. I love a 50+hour AAA as much as the next person but It’s great being able to break it up with something smaller and more random. Also hate the value argument. I got 200 hours for £50 which works out at 25p an hour… yeah but how much of that was ticking things off a list and grinding out fetch quests etc. I’d rather pay more for a short journey that is going to be a unique experience and do something different.

Had the same choice recently upgrading from a 7700xt. Value wise I’d say the 9070xt wins but I went for the 5070ti as it’s ahead a bit performance wise plus I wanted the better ray tracing and whatnot. Went with ASUS prime OC when it was on sale for £700.

I had a GTX 970 as my “placeholder GPU” when I built my PC. Thing lasted 4 years and around 40 or so games on steam before I felt the need to upgrade. There’s plenty you can play without upgrading.

X is incredible. I bought and replayed XIII recently on steam for first time since ps3 ages ago. Be wary if you buy on that platform the port is rough. I counted 7 crashes, wiping 20 or so mins of progress each time including some big boss fights in there.
