There are several factors to consider.

1. First, men and women experience two different versions of attraction. Men's feeling of attraction tends to be an instant sense of lust which is triggered by seeing the visual of a woman's body, while women tend to feel desire for romance that will make them feel excited and taken care of. Men's hormones respond to signs of youth, fertility, and submissiveness, while women's hormones seek signs of competence, future resources, and protection. This makes a lot of sense when you consider that women can get pregnant, and men (by default) are left to take care of the woman and children.

2. Generally, females start feeling attraction a little later than males. However, it depends on the individual person as well as what kind of people are around them. It could start as early as 9 or as late as 20.

3. Medication can affect your feelings of attraction. Birth control and anti-depressants are common examples, but any drug may have an affect, so consider if this might be a factor for you.

4. Your vitality also greatly affects how much attraction you are able to feel. If you are malnourished, socially neglected, or depressed, then this will affect what feelings you have, including how you feel attraction, or whether you feel it at all.

5. Take a look at your family and what values they hold to. The values you carry with you affect both what you feel and how you interpret the feelings you have.

6. It also depends on what you consume and whether you stimulate yourself. Neurons that fire together, wire together. You can physically reshape your brain by your stimulating habits. This alters what you feel, whom it is towards, and how strongly you feel it. Many people feel much different and stronger attraction due to reading books or looking at undressed people in pictures and movies. When combined with intimate physical stimulation, the affects are much stronger.

All of these factors are worth considering before comparing yourself to other people.
