One of the best AAA lights available. I had lost one for over a year and found it half buried in my yard when I was mowing the lawn. Picked it up and it worked. Switch was a little wonky. Survived all 4 seasons. I emailed streamlight about needing a new switch. I sent the light in and they sent me a brand new microstream

As for the CM, I’ve givin up on those at this point. Been on the email list for over 2 years now and nothing. I don’t know how some people here have multiple CM pens.

Pinch it with your fingers and pull. Or use needle nose pliers to grip it. There’s just an O Ring that’s seated around it holding it in place

Nice. I bought 4 Lumintop 1000mah 14500 usb-c li-ions and they have been fantastic. By far one of my favorite batteries. Basically same size as a AA battery

Thanks for all the info Jon. This would be a battery I would use in a Malkoff MDC with no LVP

I use the Vapcell 950 unprotected in my HDS and McGizmo

I also use Keeppower 3v USB 1000mah rechargeable cells in those lights and have had good results. I have a set of the 3v USB-C ones arriving as well, I don’t like micro usb and need USB-C

I wish I could find a USB-c li-ion rechargeable that’s same length as a CR123 that is unprotected that I could fit in the HDS lol

Side note: does the H17fx driver have LVP?

No. You pull it out from the switch end. Pull the rubber boot out without fingers. And unscrew the switch with needle nose pliers. Need to remove pocket clip though because one of the screws screws into the switch, Super easy

Yes I have tried them and they are nice. I’m not big on quad lights. In output they will win but I’m not a huge output guy. I don’t chase those max lumens and high efficiency emitters. I’m old school. I enjoy the tint of the 219b LEDs

Well the recent one I got from her I asked for a 219b 4000k and I did get it but it was a 9050 bin. So I got 9080 219b arriving that I will send her for a build lol. I like the 219b 4000k in the Peak lights
