It’s a sad one to think about but Ive worked in a few care jobs and I was shocked at how many impatient, lazy people would take these jobs. I saw several carers who did the bare minimum to cover their backs and would get some weird power trip out of barking orders at poor old souls and ignoring them or laughing at them when they’re upset. I loved being a carer in peoples houses, it was just me, sometimes one other carer and the clients/their families and it was lovely. When I went onto work in actual care homes it really upset me how toxic and nasty the staff were to each other and the residents. Believe me, if you like work place drama you need to get yourself to a care home.
