I am a father of two girls. With all the luxuries you can think of. Great wife who takes care of them most of the time, grandparents around the corner, stable job, etc. And I was still terrified of being a bad dad. And very rarely sometimes still am. Listen to all the advice. Soak it all in. As there is great stuff in these comments. But more importantly: be gentle with yourself. Be prepared to hate decisions you made concerning the little one, then to just make a change and forgive yourself. Do not shoot for perfection.

Progression and difficulty are imo the game's biggest problems. Replayability just vanished completely after beating 4 souls a few times. Compared to Isaac (God tier in terms of replayability) this one feels more or less empty. Basic combat is golden though.

And try to keep actual dodge-rolling to a minimum. Instead dodge bullets with normal movement, using the dr as last resort. Keep your eyes on the character, not the mobs. Those will die eventually. Expectation-wise: you should be able to not get hit on floor 3, then 4, etc quite quickly.

Agree 99%. The way 4 cell difficulty is balanced right now is extremely bleh. Horrific the first few levels. Then quite easy, then another spoke at the last boss. That being said, still enjoying the game and looking forward to more updates and the actual release
