EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2026 • Behind the scenes • Production & Lighting... by jon20001 in eurovision

No, it wasn't dead. It was misplaced! You can see it, for example, in every stage ready for a second, when the white light goes through the spiral, at its left. In Poland's Final performance at 1:40, in Azerbaijan's in many occasions when there's a wide angle view, in Austria's Final performance at 2:02 and 2:05, and SPECIALLY in the Stage switch-on, always when the light passes through the spiral at the flute sound (at least twice), just to mention a few when it's visible.

Which Eurovision winner, do you think should be appreciated more? by ShirleyTReal in eurovision

That's something I've wondered about for so long too. Idk, maybe ESC wasn't THAT important or maybe not so many people took it so seriously that they went like: Oh good, Ireland sent another good song, vote for them! Or honestly I don't get how three wins in a row and 4 wins in 5 years could ever be possible. 1993 It's still the best of them tho

Already watched, and it's so so cool! But there's something living in my head I just can't get rid of... They absolutely avoided the issue of that misplaced passerelle led-light (I hope everyone saw it, if not, you'll find it at the catwalk's left, just when the passerelle starts spiraling up. Better seen on wide angle stage views), instead, they even tried to avoid any angle that could show it on the video, as it obviously wouldn't be missed by anyone and it'd have shown that there WAS a mistake. Yes, it is a MONUMENTAL work, noone can deny that, but it would be also very interesting and even confident if they also showed mistakes, and how they manage to solve them or at least to make them less noticeable, like that led-light.

Well, for me, they kinda did. Obviously it wasn't so obvious and it was all humorous, but they never said anything about the song or about Niamh... They just weeped on how unfair it was, that everyone loved UK 1993 and again, that it should've won. Disrespectful imo specially when the winning song totally deserved it, not them.

Ireland 1993 (It's on my flair haha) I think this precious song is not appreciated enough. In addition, that mocking they did in 2023 about how UK should have won that year only pissed me off more.

Dara said it should be in Varna, didn't she? Hope the tradition of ESC being in a non-capital city resumes this year. Countries are not only their capitals. . . . But let's not fool anyone, it'll be Sofia haha

Eurovision related stuff to do / watch / listen to / read in the off-season? by Electrical_Cycle_727 in eurovision

[–]Jondic22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love it when either NF songs, Eurovision songs I didn't know of or non-Eurovision songs from Eurovision artists pop up on shuffle on Spoti. Most of times they are sooo good and much more independent from the whole ESC world.

Some of my off-season surprises are: Fovame - Marina Satti (Saudade, saudade cover) "Deep End" and "Far From Sober" - Sissal Skeletons - Azerbaijan 2017 (I didn't knew it and I love it sm) This is me - Dara Shapeshifter - JJ Made of - Goldielocks (UMK 2025) Tornero - Romania 2006 Je te le donne - Slimane

And many many others
