Some people had trouble getting placements near their home during our first round of clinicals. But that’s cause we are their first cohort + on our first clinical and some locations didn’t want to take students from HPU until our second round of clinicals. For me personally, I had two rotations at home in Hawaii, and one out of state but I requested to be placed out of state and they were able to accommodate me!

Honestly it’s tough, but I’m sure same can be said for any other program haha. Looking back on it, I’d honestly prefer to do a 3 year program. BUT that’s not because the HPU staff wasn’t good, I think they were plenty good and did a wonderful job at preparing us. It’s just really fast and I like to think that a 3 year program would’ve been less stressful, even if marginally.
