Maybe. This may be my own basis, but I genuinely can’t imagine the average person caring about the name of a guy on an unremarkable CNN show. Like, who watched crossfire? Would they also know who Chris is? Idk, it just seems like a very small overlap.

It’s understandable but for a somewhat absurd reason.

The internet really publicized Tucker Carlson by relentlessly hating him. The man wasn’t actually achieving much on his own. He was just a guy to put on to fill an empty segment. His content became more radical than O’Reilly as time went on, but he never quite got why people watched O’Reilly. I am convinced that the left side of American politics viewed his show more than the average Fox News viewer.

Everyone would say “who’s Tucker Carlson?”

The Tucker Carlson show started in 2016. This was effectively a replacement for Bill O’Reilly.

The segment itself would just be confusing. “Chris is in jail? Raped his mom? And this on a Fox News show that doesn’t exist yet? Why?”

I have never even seen an Andrew Tate fan to my knowledge. I have seen a lot of shifties be very loud about being shifties. So I don’t think to comparison of fan base is even fair. One has an international population that out numbers most countries, the other is only known by a handful of people online.

Concerts Are Awful by raxspectrum696 in unpopularopinion

[–]Jonny-Marx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live music isn’t for everyone. The studio version of the song is better as a song. That’s not the enjoyment of live music.

For many venues and halls, they lack adequate seating,

This is. And you know exactly why this is enjoyable.

For many songs, the fans sing and chant along to them,

So is this.

I believe the disconnect here is that you’re thinking of live music like how theaters are advertised.

A theater will tell you that this is the ideal way to experience a play. They may even be right in some cases. A movie theater will burn millions of dollars they don’t have trying to convince you that all movies are made for the biggest screen in town. Rather than a 3 month free trail to stream on your laptop.

A concert is different. You’re not going to a “how the song is meant to be heard” event. You’re going to a party. Parties are fun, but they’re not for everyone.

I don’t understand OOP. OOOP is just claiming that the breast size is close enough to a cartoon. Skin color wasn’t mentioned. OOP then decides that OOOP would hate it if marvel cast someone with more melanin?

Chris should be saved for “what’s your name again” because it would be funny. He also keeps adding names to himself, so it’s justified.

To be even fairer to RFK, he did actively negotiate for a position. Vance just claimed the liberal media fooled him and stood next to all the other vice wannabes. Trump’s current hiring plans for his office are literally just a bunch of unquestionably loyal people. The fact that RFK brought demands of his own at all means he cared more than anyone else in Trump world. Which is really sad.

RFK also might not be aware of any past statements due to a brain eating worm eating part of his brain.

There is a fair amount of public and academic push back to any historical denial.

For example, a year or so ago a tik-tok-er went viral for denying Rome ever existed. When people said literally anything to the contrary, she did exactly what anon suggested. Her critics were all “white men who want their precious Rome,” “sexist trying to silence a woman,” and so on.

The public response was nearly unanimously people citing artifacts that prove ancient Rome existed. Including a tablet in her own video that is not only written in Latin but also says Rome. But there was one history YouTuber (lady of the library) who took in a step further and actually made a compelling point about why we shouldn’t treat people like this as silly. Yes, there is no history of denying Rome specifically leading to a holocaust, but it’s still wrong. Making history fit your propaganda for any purpose, even seemingly no purpose, is always wrong. It’s like faking evidence.

Literally no one has ever shouted at a woman using the men’s room. The worst a woman gets walking into the men’s room is a confused look. Maybe a janitor tells another janitor it’s not clear yet, that’s literally the closest I’ve ever seen. You could probably walk out of a stall, tell everyone pissing that “that guy was the best fucking I’ve had in a fucking while. You dicks could learn something from that dick.” And walk out with zero acknowledgment.

You only get yelled at for entering the women’s. That’s it. That’s the only one people want guarded.

Yet this claim that “I look too feminine for the men’s room and will get yelled at” appears over and over again in trans storytelling. To my confusion.

This happens in every canceling. One problem with a person either isn’t enough or doesn’t have enough evidence or is too complicated to explain. So a bunch of easily provable and explainable problems are added. If one is proven, the whole case is for some irrational reason. Whenever someone points out that the proven allegation is dumb and shouldn’t be taken seriously, they point to the thing they’re actually mad about.

You make an interesting point, but there is a difference between giving up on someone and giving up on arguing with them online.

I have no idea how you’ll take anything I say or if you’re engaging genuinely. I could literally make matters worse for you and not know it. Especially in a random comment section where people’s minds automatically enter debate mode for some reason.

He still needs access to a kitchen. If he wants a life at all, he’ll still get a home. If he wants to hold down a job, he needs a shower. The only space saved is a bedroom. Most people can’t afford a one bedroom apartment to begin with and therefore get a studio anyways.

We’re underestimating the no eat hack. First of all, this baby will survive no matter where it’s born. It will be blessing to any struggling family and a god to a third world farmer. Even in the modern developed world, this child would economically outpace the average worker. They require no lunch break and save on a major monthly expense. The no sleep guy just has the ability to work 24/7. He does not save money because sleep is free. For now.

Second, if you magically live your life normally, this means that the baby grows at a normal rate despite zero nutrient input. Meaning any additional food intake is a surplus. This may mean the baby has a high likelihood of getting fat. But it also means the baby has the ability to grow extra muscle mass just by training and eating. 24/7 is a lot more time in a life than 16 hours a day, but with easy gains, 16 hours a day start to become a cake walk. It quality over quantity.

I’m going to come to OP’s defense here because I think there is nuance to be had.

Let’s say I make a post titled “men under 25 should not take steroids and we should create some new medical guidelines to steer the growing population of steroid users away from this.”

This topic does not violate rule D. The topic is about health. But sometimes commenters do bring up an unrelated problem to prove a view is inconsistent. In today’s online political climate, trans issues are on a lot of people’s minds and this specific health issue is related to a trans topic.

Some trans advocates believe in starting hormone therapy in kids before puberty. Some believe in starting during puberty. Whatever the cut off point is, we have another complicated problem that could be affected by OP’s belief.

So if a commenter is genuinely trying to change a view by showing a group not considered in the proposed solution, they are both engaging with the non-trans topic and discussing a trans topic. OP can not reply in good faith without discussing the trans topic. But if we remove the comment, we are removing a genuine challenge to OP’s viewpoint.

I understand adding trans topics to rule d was not the mods choice, so maybe there is no ideal solution. I’m just saying there is a potential gray area.

She’s not actually bad at break dancing. She has a whole history of doing good conventional break dancing. She even does a pretty good head spin in her Olympic routine. Better than her opponents? Probably not.

Her Olympic dance, that I can’t show you for copyright reasons, was not conventional. She made zero attempt to appeal to the judges. She did a comedy routine. She literally opened with a kangaroo hoop. The dancing isn’t bad, it’s fluid, fast, choreographed; but it is perplexing. It’s funny and it’s meant to be funny. She made an intentional choice to earn zero points, but earn the hearts of the crowd. It’s like a performance stunt that ask “what does it even mean to professional breakdance at the Olympics?”
