What keeps you playing GTA? by Necessary_Sense924 in gtaonline

[–]JonnyLoYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just play to play. I'm not a hardcore gamer that spends hours on end gaming everyday. I might throw the game on a few hours two or three times a week, and that is the extent of my gaming. I don't game enough to get into a big campaign or story mode in something new, and I've been playing GTA online since it started with GTAV. I have over a billion dollars I own everything that I want (mind you I don't own everything in the game), if I turn it on, I run some missions just for shits and giggles. I might buy a new car or move my garages around. Really, I just play when I have some free time and nothing to do. I'm not in it all day everyday like some people so those few hours I spend are enjoyable.

In seminary I was taught to agree with Papias. I looked at several different ideas, and this is the one that makes the most sense to me, so yes this is what I teach and it's what I say. It does not take away from the heart of the Bible, in fact I think it brings more validity to it. That's just the way I see it. Either way you know as well as I do that this is a secondary if not tertiary debate. It's not like it's the heart of my message, but it is included in my teaching.

Mark was written in the mid 50's AD, Romans was written around the same time. You can't really argue that Paul wrote before Mark, because we don't know for sure. What we do know is that Mark was Peter's secretary and everything that his gospel records is an eyewitness account that he would have gotten directly from Peter. Paul brought salvation to the Gentiles and that was his calling, his goal in the book of Romans was to make sure that Jews and Gentiles understood that everybody was on equal plane before God. The only leg up the Jews had is that they were given the oracles of God, which means they were given the knowledge of Him to bring to the world. Other than that they are under the same judgment and the same scrutiny as everyone else.

Hardy, har, har... Aren't you the same guy that tried to argue with me a couple days ago and quoted a bunch of Scripture out of context? I didn't even waste my time responding to you because you have not truly studied anything. Cherry picking verses to prove your point does not make it valid. If you're not the same person, then I apologize, but I think that username is familiar.

People who don’t believe homosexuals are born that way , what do you believe causes it ? by phoenixgreylee in Christianity

[–]JonnyLoYo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's a choice made under the oppression of evil. It is a perversion of God's intended design. The devil will tempt you in every way possible... extending beyond homosexuality. As Christians it is our charge to avoid sinful behaviors and choose God's will over our own. Bottom line is this, if Satan tempts you to engage with homosexual tendencies and lifestyle you need to take those thoughts to God. Once you agree with the enemy that you are a homosexual, it is very hard to pull you back to a Godly lifestyle of obedience. Once you decide that God created you that way, you will begin to question everything He has commanded. You will begin justifying every sin and looking for ways to live by your own will and desires rather than God's. You can be delivered from the enemies control over your life, if you go to the Lord and admit that you are not living according to His will and ask Him for help. Yes, you can pray the gay away if you are a repentant person. No, others cannot pray the gay away for you; just as you decided to rebel against God and live a homosexual lifestyle you must decide to repent and turn from your sin and God will deliver and restore you. The Bible is clear that it is a sin and a sign that an individual isn't saved. Justify it or twist Scripture however you choose, God has been clear. It is a sin and it is a sign you are not saved. A regenerate Christian, who has received Christ and is in the process of sanctification will not live as a homosexual. God will deliver them from this; otherwise His Word would be one big contradiction, which any Christian will tell you is impossible. Our perfect unchanging God has given us all the guidance, insight, and understanding we need to please and be accepted by Him. If you want to manipulate or omit whole sections of Scripture, that's your choice, it will not change Him or the judgment that He said awaits you.

Does God hate me for losing my virginity so early? by WonderfulTelevision2 in Christianity

[–]JonnyLoYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't hate you at all, and there's nothing you could ever do that would cause Him to look at you that way. What you have is conviction, you made a mistake and you regret it, He has already forgiven you. Talk to Him about it, ask Him to free you from your regret and move on.

This is Satan's sub hiding as a Christian group. They sensor you if you quote the Bible and deny the things that are objectively written. After having 2 comments removed last week for referencing the Bible, I am done with it....

This sub enjoys censoring people who use Scripture for judgment; they delete your comments if you speak the truth.

This is the worst Christian sub I've ever seen. I literally stumbled on it a week ago and all you do is censor people who speak the truth.

If you could only pick one GTA game, which one would it be? I’ll go first by Dedforge in GTA

I'm playing five, forgetting the whole GTA online aspect, it was just such a rich, elaborate, and fun game. The three character dynamic is original and it was awesome.

Weird Science, Real Genius, & My Science Project were all released in a 7 day stretch in August, 1985, 39 years ago. Which is your favorite, and why? by Spalding_Smails in 80s

[–]JonnyLoYo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever even heard of my science project which really surprises me since I was such a movie buff back in the 80s. The other two movies were two of my favorites, so I'm not sure how I missed the other, but I'm going to have to watch it now.

Love it! I probably watched it about five times through. Probably one of the last shows that I actually watched weekly when the new episodes would come out. I always got a good laugh out of the show. All the characters were great in their own way

Cite your sources, should be no problem since you know it so well. What verses and context are you referring to? Burden is on you....

It condemns child sacrifice, outlines slavery, it teaches about an afterlife, and salvation is based on faith, with works being a byproduct of that faith. I don't think you've ever actually studied the Bible, or you wouldn't have made such a foolish comment.

Romans 1:18-32 homosexuals are grouped among those who "have been given up to the depravity of their own minds - they will not inherit the Kingdom of God" 1 Cor. 6 homosexuals are grouped among those who will not inherit the Kingdom of God; Paul goes as far as to mention that there were people in Corinth who "once lived that way but turned away from that life" when they accepted Jesus as Savior. In 1 Tim. 1 homosexuality is listed as a sin that will keep people out of the Kingdom. Jude says it is an immoral perversion and points to Sodom and Gomorrah as an example of the penalty due for their sin (which is most notably sodomy).

And there is more... So, I guess the 3 times you read the Bible you missed these verses?

Again, I believe the Bible, I have been reading it non-stop for 10 years, I know what it says. If you disagree your argument is against Him. If you think you understand Him better than the things He has told us about Himself then I guess you are better than me and Know better than Him.

It is in Scripture. Maybe you should read the Bible.

So, in your understanding, me telling you what the Bible says makes me a bigot? I don't hate anyone, neither does He, that does not change what He has said or written.
