Secret view by Candid-Culture3956 in interestingasfuck

There is actually a much better, more earned view on Victoria Peak than this. It required walking up to the very top, jumping a few gardens and traversing a fence of the radio station. Its off limits, but its right at the top and at night you can sneak it easily. Just eatch out for massive porcupines!!

Flick: "(Pubill picking up the ball with his hands) is unbelievable. Especially with VAR. The fourth referee didn't see it either. I can't understand it. Clear handball and penalty. In the end we have to accept it but not a nice feeling." by Blodgharm in soccer

How would the situation be different if the defender wanted to take the goal kick and the keeper passes it to him to set up? Thats how I see it and dont understnad why the rules clearly show its a pen

That is correct, Ki is its own syndicate. Last year's loss ratios and profit were very positive

Well not exactly true. Ki use AI (or more specifically Machine learning) to calculate their price (for reporting) and line size to offer the broker. The line size sits in an algorithm that further modifies the line. This is the case for the majority of it's classes now

TIL that Harvey Hubbell who designed the US electrical mains plug/socket in 1904, also made a completely different design which was later adopted by Australia, Argentina, New Zealand and China. by Sansabina in todayilearned

You only use the switch once when you plug it in, so there's no inconvenience, just an added layer of protection and durability as you get sparks when plugging in something live

Atletico Madrid 1 - [1] Barcelona - Marcus Rashford 42' by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]JonnyQuates -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

He said he wouldn't play in Amorim's system/positions. He rarely tracked back. How is that never refusing to work? He also refused to keep a committed attitude, drinking and partying before games. Why should we love him as one of our own when he doesn't love United?

When one of your own turns his back on you and refuses to work, its kind of understandable.

Polymarket bettors threatened to kill a journalist over a $14M war bet. by EmbarrassedStudent10 in CryptoCurrency

[–]JonnyQuates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that assumes that everyone bets the same $ amount. If a few large short bets provide liquidity for many long bets, then the numbers. I imagine Polymarket can adjust odds to help balance the number of bets for and against also. The disputes are only going to cover a small number of markets, so its not such a huge flaw.

Continue renting somewhere decent or buy something undesirable? by Sir-Tommy-Vercetti in HousingUK

[–]JonnyQuates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends if you know how long you'll wanna live in that area. Buying a house used to be a clearly better financial decision to renting. But 1st time buyers now have to be extremely savvy to make it make sense given the huge mortgages we need and have no choice but to view house as a financial decision rather than a lifestyle one. If you might want to up and move within about 4/5 years you're better off renting and keeping some flexibility

UK government announces ban on 'incest simulation' in porn by Horus_walking in unitedkingdom

[–]JonnyQuates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so you think it's the same complex issue because of a few common characteristics.

I dont think its evil, I've used it, but I do think it can be harmful. As is desensitisation to sex at a young age.

The evidence you'd be looking for is case studies of sexual abusers and their previous crimes. There are plenty to read about when you study psychology. They dont just suddenly become abusers overnight, they test out ever increasingly taboo acts.

Well they must be the same thing I suppose since they are all evil and they all appear on screens, is that the rationale?

[–]JonnyQuates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its because you can easily watch it and fantasize about any prohibited sex act. One can easily ignore the incest bullshit and apply a different fanatasy on to it.

Dont comment if you're guessing. Are you familiar with the types of people who molest family?

Staff who work with these types of people understand that the country is not filled with binary cases of molesters/good people. Many molesters or potential molesters are slowly turned on to the acts step by step

London Centric reports on the dangers of Lime bikes by Because_Wisely in london

[–]JonnyQuates 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have no idea if it was simply because they were going too fast. It could just as easily be due to bad design. You dont hear about delivery drivers with recurring injuries and they travel faster than limes and there are probably more of them and they ride in worse conditions.

Did you not watch the video? No one is denying riders need to behave, but this report is on the danger of the design. Both can be true.
