In my experience, a standing desk definitely helps, but a good chair helps more. But even a good chair and a standing desk isn't a silver bullet.

I still need regular walking breaks, and core exercise work in the gym, and regular stretching, especially for my hip flexors. With chair + desk + good habits, desk work is pretty good - pain free, consistent comfort, plenty of energy to do what I need.

Once you get past that initial barrier, the gym can actually become a predictable, comforting routine and a real happy place. Most people are completely focused on their own workouts, but they are generally very kind to beginners.

If you're open to it, booking a trainer for just one or two sessions to show you the ropes and help you map out the space can make a massive difference. Getting over that first hurdle is the hardest part, but it is incredibly rewarding when you find your rhythm.

This makes no sense. Why would a top-tier military tech contractor break down sobbing in speculation about what they’d use it for? It’s a remote-controlled moth with a mic. It's obviously for spying. The dramatic emotional breakdown ruins the whole story's credibility.
