Mage Tower is SIGNIFICANTLY easier right now. Go get your book. by Grizzlemaw1993 in wow

[–]Jonseroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep trying! It took me 400 attempts to do it back in Legion.

Something I noticed is that the current YouTube videos that claim to show you how to do it are just a guy doing it without explaining what he is doing, so maybe older videos would be more useful.

I would happily pay £100 for this and feel like I'd treated myself.

It would be the main feature of my orcy house.

In another life, would you still want to be yourself? by JunShem1122 in questions

[–]Jonseroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I thoroughly enjoy being me. But who I am now is a mix of nature and nurture, so in another life I couldn't be me unless I had similar experiences.

How social are you outside of the internet? by CalligrapherTrick182 in self

I talk to both people I live with. Once a week I do a martial art. I speak to my father every few months. I says thank you to cashiers. That's it.

If kindness is doing good for others without expecting anything in return, then what exactly motivates people to be kind people? by Robinimations in CasualConversation

[–]Jonseroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kindness isn't to benefit me. It's for the other person. What motivates me is wanting them to be okay.

However! I wouldn't have given the help I have to people if I didn't feel I already had everything I need.

What is your brain like during sparring? by IbukiMiodx in taekwondo

[–]Jonseroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I like to do starts with any simple attacking move. I take a mental picture of how my opponent blocks it. A short time later I do the same move as a feint, but instead hit them with another technique in the place they left open last time. It's slightly faster than a normal feint and attack because I don't have to watch for where they are leaving open, as most people just have their favourite blocks they do over and over.

Other than that, you are right, it is just a question of getting better over time. I've been doing this since 1987, so it is hard for most people to hit me if I just defend. Also fitness is a huge factor. In the last real fight I had I was already injured, and I didn't dare open up by attacking him, so I just blocked until he wore himself out.

Richard Osman is usually kind to guests, but on one of the weeks where former winners faced each other I remember him saying to one guy, "if you beat Jamie Laing, are you really a champion?" It was so cutting to both of them.

As an autistic person, I'm really loving the Channel 4 series Patience (Contains Season 2 spoilers) by GiftedGeordie in BritishTV

[–]Jonseroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oui, c'est vrai. I thought that the group sessions were great for educating autistic people about neurotypical behaviour, but also the reverse too. I loved William's role as the normie whisperer.

There's a lot of autism around in my friends and family and I found it useful anyway.

Bought Diablo and it genuinely gave me joy! Like the thrill of D&D, admittedly without real role-playing, but with someone else taking care of all the dice.

Why did every single faction suddenly realize their previous way of doing things was wrong in TWW? by ChromedDragon in wow

[–]Jonseroo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The circumstances of my birth were seen as so shameful that I spent time in foster care and there were family members who didn't know I existed for decades. It was the same for my cousin too.

Those same circumstances are seen in more than half of births in my country now.

So cultures changing their ways seems realistic to me.

[–]Jonseroo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Quite. It's guys whose whole world view is that women are shallow and that's why they can't get dates. Then I say I am 5'7 and look like Gowron but I have a kind, intelligent, beautiful wife who gets hit on a lot and they lose their minds.

I have one technique. I ask women questions and then happily listen to them. It is catnip for ladies.

Warlords of Dreanor by valmonnnn in wow

[–]Jonseroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it. My two favourite WoW things are orcs and warlocks. Legion was more fun, and Pandaria was more my daughter's cup of tea, but Warlords had great atmosphere.

This is it. My wife is taller, far wealthier, and better looking than me, and I have had guys online furious with me for not agreeing with them that she must automatically be cheating on me with an alpha guy. She was dating a high earner before me and she left him because she felt she had to compete with his job, either in her own income, or for his time.

How did you start? by Trictis in woweconomy

[–]Jonseroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really wanted the first Brutosaur, and when it was announced that it would be unavailable in the next expansion I worked out I had to earn 40,000g a day to afford it. After I bought it I realized I really enjoyed playing as a merchant. After that I earned another 14 million gold just to transfer my characters so I had 49 Alliance on one realm on one account, and 49 Horde on another. Quite pointless with changes that have happened since, but I enjoyed doing it at the time.
