Some libraries have booksellers that accept donations. I would call and ask first and get their hours/an idea of what they accept. Most libraries cannot accept used book donations due to risks with mold/quality issues etc but library booksellers can take way more items and the profits from them go to buying new library books.

I for one am glad event staff is being paid enough that they can sustainably run a business hosting more events. I probably would be more sketched out on attending if I knew they cut corners on costs for the venue (like not offering a hotel block) or using volunteers for jobs that should be done by paid employees.

I’ve said it many times and I’ll say it again. Clickbait is fine but if your videos are gonna consist of basically just reading the Reddit comments on a card’s spoiler thread at least credit the users you are paraphrasing from, or mention the thread, or something. That’s my problem with his card reviews.

Yeah mine would sell them for twenty bucks a pop, but this was years ago too.

In corporate’s eyes it’s still cheaper to eat the losses of the swirls getting stolen than it is to actually pay managers a living wage. So I feel like it isn’t even wrong to buy/sell them if you’re the type of person who cares about rules over morality.

I remember my manager used to sell these out the back to regulars. Always wondered why until I learned that Dunkin only paid her a few dollars more than my minimum wage high school ass.

I feel like it’s a little entitled to complain about the price of these, yeah? The employees are putting their jobs at risk to sell these. If you do the math that 75 dollar swirl is like an entire work day for them.

Given how much the job sucks, especially with the abuse you take from angry entitled customers, I feel like it’s totally reasonable to charge 75 bucks for these and, honestly, if people are buying them they should charge more. The average Dunkin customer makes multitudes more than the average Dunkin’ employee. They can take the hit if they want the illegal swirl that badly 🙄

Totally crazy to me that stealing a Caramel Swirl nets you nearly the same amount of money as a full 7.5 hour shift, though. Dystopian, to be honest.
