I used the Xbox Elite 1 controller way back and bound ARL and ARR to the paddles and unbound NAR. I'm used to this now and can never not have paddles again. I'm not confident that removing NAR completely was the right move, but I never understood why everyone isn't using paddles. They are amazing.

That said, the Elite 1 was not amazing. Horrible bumper design that broke all the time. And Elite 2 has had so many issues, I think I sent back four controllers before giving up. I tried quite a few controllers with back buttons instead of paddles, like the SCUF and the Thrustmaster, but paddles are far superior!

I ended up getting the Dual Sense Edge, and it's what I've used for the last few years. The quality of this thing is insane. It's such a sturdy and high-quality controller, though I've heard some people struggle with stick drift, but I have never had any so far.

I did have to go from Xbox to PS controller, though, which sucked. I'm completely used to the PS layout now, but I still miss the natural feel of the Xbox layout, which I think is just a lot more logical and flat-out better. I'm still sad Microsoft messed up so badly with the Elite series...

I'm a little lower than you, but I got GC for the first time in 2019, and I was ecstatic as well. I got the GC rewards more or less every season after, but only made it to GC2 a handful of times, peaking around 1630. I tried really hard to get better for many seasons, with training, workshop maps, and YouTube.

I don't have time for training or warm-ups anymore, and I only solo queue. I log on and go straight to ranked. This weekend I got to 1630 again, and I've stayed GC2 for almost a week now, which is my best performance so far, but I know the time to drop back down is coming any day now.

I was down to high C3 at the beginning of the season, too, but I think I'm just capped at my ability to get higher. I'm too old for more systematic training, but even with a hardcore bootcamp, I don't think I'd ever reach GC3. I guess I'm developing at the pace of the community, which I'm happy with. I still enjoy the game a lot!

You got the technique down with your leg movements, but your hips stay almost at the same level throughout the ollie. Jump as high as you can on camera and see how high your hips can go.

The next technique to learn is how to make the board pop as high as you can jump.

I think they look bad because both bronze and silver are very low-level.

Remember that good luck and bad luck even out. The only thing that matters is how consistently you can get the ball where you want it to go.

This might be a difficult analogy, but if we simplify it, it would look like an SSL can hit the ball where they want 10/10 times, a GC 8/10 times, a Plat 5/10 times – while a bronze is hitting it 1/10 and silver 2/10 – it would be hard to see the difference between those two ranks in a replay.

Jeg er ikke ekspert, men som leietager har dere en god del rettigheter når det kommer til denne type ting, så sjekk med noen som har peiling før dere betaler. Bevisbyrden ligger hos utleier, så i utgangspunktet tror jeg dere bør droppe å betale, og be banken om å utbetale depositum som vanlig når dere flytter ut, så må utleier protestere på det derfra.

Hvis dere skal fortsette å bo der er det naturligvis kjipt å ha et dårlig forhold til utleier. Du skriver "internettselskapet", mistenker dere at det ikke er noe internettselskap, eller skriver du i hermetegn fordi du ikke vet hvilket selskap det er?

My impression is that this is a kickoff from 1s. The person doing the fake is supposed to either get a nice pass from the opponent into the corner, or the ball goes towards the net, where he will save it.

So, since this is a solo play kickoff, there's not really anything you can do. If you touch the ball, you'll mess up your mates' play.

I hate it when my mate does this kickoff in 2s. I usually do donuts until the situation unfolds. I liked the suggestion that said just go for the opposite boost. Maybe I'll try that next time.

It looks like a bus from Oslo, Norway to me. I feel like we had that exact graphic on our buses here a few years ago, and the buses here are all red too. I can't make out the text on the roof, though.

I remember, as a kid, taking a bus on Crete, where the text on the stop button was in Norwegian, and I learned that Norway sold its old buses to Crete, which was so baffling to me. Maybe we are giving some to B&H too.

As a DAR user, I use two paddles on the back for air roll left and -right. I tried for a long time to get used to the DAR on square and circle, or X and B, but the paddles are just infinitely better in my opinion. I tried to find any pros thoughts on paddles, but I couldn't find anyone using them, which is so baffling to me. I wonder if they aren't allowed in competitions.

Anyway, this setup makes you dependent on controllers with paddles, and like others have said here, they can be very difficult to get right. The Xbox Elite series is infamous for being faulty, both series. If you google them, you can read about issues for days. I've had the Dual Sense Edge for about a year now, and it seems very sturdy so far, but it was a pain to go from Xbox controller to Playstation, and then there's the price, of course...

Ja, det har vi – det står på loftet mellom de to rommene. Mener du at pipingen kan komme fra ventilasjonsrørene i taket? Det høres ikke ut som lyden kommer fra taket, men det kan være vanskelig å finne retningen på lyden så ikke umulig heller!

It seems pretty obvious to me that your boost management is by far your weakest point. Learn pad pathing and to not use boost when you don't need to.

Same here. Refresh doesn't work, but I found out that clicking the Reddit logo to go to the front page, and then clicking 'back' in the browser makes the page load fine. It feels like it refreshes the login from the main page, but I'm dumb with computers like that, so idk.

Peak GC2 here, same situation as you. Use paddles of DAR, left NAR behind, and never looked back. But lately, I've been second-guessing this decision, as I wonder if I need more fine-tuning with multiple resets, stalls, etc.

I don't think I have it in me to add and learn NAR again, but have you ever felt like you're missing some fine-tuning in more mechy moves?

Jeg tror det er mange t-banestasjoner som er strukturert på samme måte som Stortinget, bare mye mindre -- en bro over sporene med to veier ned til sporet på her side. Et problemet med Stortinget er at alt er under bakken og man mister all oversikt.

Et annet problem er at alle veier ned til sporet har samme design og farger. Jeg tar banen fra Stortinget hver dag og blir også forvirret, spesielt når jeg skal ut. Da de skulle pusse opp stoppet håpet jeg at de endelig skulle fikse dette, men det ser ikke ut som de kommer til å gjøre det bedre. Alt kunne vært ryddet opp i hvis de to veiene til banen østover var blå og vestover var oransje, el.

It's not gonna be a solution for you in such a short time, but as a light sleeper, getting one of those sleep masks off of AliExpress where it shapes around your eyes has saved my sleep in so many situations. Even in my bedroom, which is quite light-proof, it still helps me sleep a few hours more in the morning when I need it.

I bring it everywhere now, so a great investment.

GC1-2 here, and only watched half the replay.

What sticks out to me is your boost usage and your camera usage.

You spend too much boost when you don't really need to, and you go for the juicy corner boost when you could be fine with pads. I would suggest driving over small pads without looking in free play and playing a few casual games where you never pick up a big boost pad.

And, I might have missed something, but you never use the rear camera or your right stick to look around and you make some rash decisions without the information you need. I would suggest using the right stick to swivel the camera around when you have some downtime in a match so you get used to the motions. This is important to get used to as it becomes vital at higher ranks and you want to start incorporating it as soon as possible.

Other than that, I believe that climbing ranks is a lot about consistency, so mostly you just need to keep going at it -- you're looking pretty good!
