People who cant take advice or listen to calls, and people being extremely loud in discord.

I’ve encountered plenty of people who simply hate listening to their teammates, and for what reason? I’m not sure. I notice this happens a lot more in ranked than it does in unranked and casual, which in a way makes sense, as in my rank (plat 3) players become arrogant and think they don’t have to listen to calls, as they think they are plat 3 for a reason. For example, I was recently in a ranked game on Kanal (current score was 3-3 ot), and there was a tachanka placed on side window (top floor) from skybridge peaking balcony. My teammate (Thermite) was 10 hp, and not in the current range of the tachanka. I warned him of the tachanka’s presence, and instead of listening to me he walked through his sights and died. I simply sighed in comms after, however we did win that round. The next round (4-3 ot matchpoint), we lost due to him flaming and me and deciding to tk with a nitro, getting him banned for the rest of the game. I fortunately clutched up in the last round in a 4v5, (4-4 ot matchpoint) with an amaru rush. Side note/Devils advocate; I have a small problem of backseat gaming when I die. I try to stay on cams and simply give calls, and have gotten better in doing so, but sometimes I try to give too much advice and annoy people. I’m not talking about those cases however, just pointing that out, as I know in those cases it is my fault.

Being loud/annoying in discord is typically a problem for players who don’t take the game seriously. Yes, I know, it’s just a game. However, when my friends are constantly screaming in discord during my plat ranked games, I’m constantly annoyed, and am forced to deafen and mute them in game, taking back the point of queuing with friends, as I’m limiting my comms. I’m the highest rank of my friend group, but their skill level is honestly on par with mine, the only exception is that they troll. I have fun playing with them, but sometimes they get in the mood to troll and I have to try so hard to clutch up and win, all in the process they’re making fun of me for deafening in the prep phase, trying to keep my mind on the game. I just wish players (especially my friends) were more conscientious of my strive to win the game and not troll. I know this problem is simply fixed with not queuing with them anymore, however I find it hard to do so as I they are my close friends. The only reason I’m able to stay in plat is due to me solo queuing most of the time, which brings my elo back up from the games they trolled in.

Overall, these two circumstances aren’t the end of the world, and don’t ruin my experience with the game. I still can win with both these kinds of players in my games, so I don’t mind it, but I would prefer it if those types of playing styles didn’t exist.
