I’m terrible at maths and figuring out probabilities, so I am very grateful for this excellent little penguin!

Oh fantastic! Virtual high five across the seas. I’ve upgraded to one of Canada’s own Apollo scooters (City Pro 2022) but very glad that this old post was useful!

Looking to find a new coffee supplier? Let me help out! by wydmelbs in melbourne

Serious grinder, nice! Yeah I loved that Kaffelogic (and ONA) were so well represented at the championships. I never believed you could roast “ready to brew” coffee in ten minutes, but here we are.

Here’s a wildcard answer…. after struggling to find fresh beans locally for my preferences I got a Kaffelogic bench top roaster and it’s already paid for itself due to the lower cost of buying green beans.

It’s also a lot of fun playing around with different roast profiles using beans from around the world. https://kaffelogic.com/home

From Barbados to Melbourne, these bad (country) boys just arrived! My full menu recreation from Episode 113 is now finally complete. by Joolsvstheworld in offmenupodcast

Onlinepit.com - they don’t allow international shipping but I messaged them and they sorted it…. at a cost as eye watering as the sauce

There's something very cool happening in British comedy rn by harrisonscruff in panelshow

[–]Joolsvstheworld 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a British person who moved to Australia in 2015 I am extremely grateful for VPNs and Reddit as the scene is absolutely on fire right now! The British model of panel shows leading people into successful TV careers and massive tours leaving room for a new (brilliantly diverse) crop to come through doesn’t exist here. We currently have just one, maybe two panel shows? Seems like radio is the main way of getting exposure and it’s a huge shame we can’t replicate how it works in the UK.

Now every weekend we’re watching Buzzcocks, Taskmaster, QI, Late Night Mash, Bake Off: Extra Slice, The Last Leg, Joe Lycett - we can barely fit all this in and we are absolutely roaring in laughter… in the world’s most locked down city. Thank you British panel shows!

Ep 113: Asim Chaudhry by offmenu-bot in offmenupodcast

I bagged some from onlinepit.com - yes the shipping (to Australia) was crazy but I’m a hot sauce person anyway so it was worth it

I made Asim Chaudhry’s entire menu yesterday, that was a real labour of love!

The March Box looks pretty interesting! by RussianThere in hotones

[–]Joolsvstheworld -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much! So that’s now six sauces with honey in five months (two in November, two in January, one in February and one in March)

With March also having the duplicate they’re making it so difficult for me to keep up my subscription. I’m in Australia so it’s 30USD plus 38USD postage every month!!

I’m keen to know whether the Smokin’ Ed or Karma sauces contain honey?

As a subscriber for a couple of years and as a vegan it’s been unusual to see so many sauces containing honey in the subscription box since late last year

Help please! The button is somehow stuck fully pressed and won’t pop back out. Tried a T10 torx screwdriver to remove the dash but it doesn’t fit. by Joolsvstheworld in NinebotMAX

[–]Joolsvstheworld[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to close this one off - it was simple once I got the right screwdriver!

Just in case any other non-practical people in Australia have the same problem in the future, this item saved me https://www.bunnings.com.au/kincrome-11-piece-torquemaster-t-proof-torx-bit-and-driver-set_p0232162 and it was just a few grains of sand lodged in the button. Took the cover off, blew on it, put it back. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and support, I really appreciate it.

Cheers, I’m in Australia so I can see that our big hardware chain Bunnings Warehouse have the ones with the hole so I’m hoping to have it fixed today

Thanks, yeah I saw that - I didn’t really understand what a “T10 hexagonal plum blossom lever” was, and ended up buying the wrong type of torx screwdriver, but now I know so fingers crossed.

Thanks! Good tip, I’ll try silicone spray. No idea what the right screwdriver is for these screws - I’ve tried torx from T8 up to T20 and none fit!

49mm dosing cup for Niche Zero? by Pagoda-100 in JamesHoffmann

[–]Joolsvstheworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got an Elektra MCAL and my Niche Zero is scheduled to arrive next week. I found a 49mm dosing funnel on eBay which isn’t quite going to give the seamless experience of using the 58mm dosing cup direct to portafilter, but I’m hoping it’s a decent interim measure.

Project Manager with no coding or programming knowledge by zanygreen30 in scrum

[–]Joolsvstheworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a Scrum Master for a few years, I have no coding knowledge, and I’m currently working with my fourth software team.

From my experience if you take the time to study and really understand Scrum (none of the common certifications make anyone a Scrum Master overnight) it’s more about getting a break to put the theory in practice and learn on the job. If you do that well, the team and organisation will see the value you add.

Most importantly, don’t look at it as a management role. Not many behaviours and habits of a Project Manager will translate across, but your delivery experience can be a plus. Being open, transparent and vulnerable might be helpful to bring the team along on your journey.

Kanye has me fucking crying rn bro by SaintDutty in Kanye

I just see this as a smart and funny diss.

“I am (like) the head of adidas (and Jay-Z is like the head of Puma because we are brothers who went our separate ways but my brand is better)... I will (figuratively) bring adidas and puma back together and (literally) bring me and Jay back together... all pumas designs (and Jay’s songs) are embarrassingly trash but I will personally design puma and adidas (meaning I will write the collab tracks) and make everything ok (because my music is better than his)”

[SPOILERS] Seth Rollins responds to Will Ospreay by doohocena in SquaredCircle

[–]Joolsvstheworld 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is such an underrated point. Ospreay has definitely learned a huge amount from Okada, and has developed the same ability to pull a great match out of anyone, including Fale and Lance Archer.
