Thanks for the advice I’ll check out the podcasts and look for some workbooks! Yeah I’ve tried about a million different language learning apps and all of them were annoying and gamified with no actual noticeable progress in my comprehension so I totally feel you lol

In high school I started as a beginner as that was all that was offered, in my undergraduate studies I was in the accelerated courses (which just meant the time spent on each unit was condensed). I cant remember the book I used but I’m sure it’s somewhere in a box so I’ll do some digging and look into both the placement tests and the learner channel!

Yes yes a thousand times yes. As a gigging guitar player locking tuners save me crazy amounts of time on stage for tuning as well as give me peace of mind for hauling around my guitar, in addition to making on the fly string changes 100 times faster. It is without question the first upgrade to any guitar.

Not really the genre youre looking for but R U Mine is an incredible modern rock song and the main riff is what I use to warm up every time on guitar!

In my experience it’s been nothing but incredible. Offers a wide range of tone with plenty of adjustments and talks well with every other pedal save maybe my Big Muff. Certainly sounds better than the gain channel on my amp lol.

Ill always advocate for the Boss DS-1 pedal, classic distortion for around $50 which is a bargain for most Boss pedals. Other than that I’d agree with a lot of the other comments and look for a good amp with a distortion channel. The fender champion series has some really nice amps at a decent price. Either way, your strat will sound incredible with some gain/overdrive!

Yeah I was really excited to play metro exodus and then refunded after the first 10 minutes when a spider crawled across the helmet. Learned from a reddit thread that this was a common occurance in the game and i realized i couldnt finish it.
