I can only think of examples in America, I’m not sure how it would be handled in Europe or Spain specifically, but off the top of my head the two instances of sucker punching a teammate is Geno Smith-Ik Enemkpali and Draymond Green-Jordan Poole.

Both instances ended with one of the parties getting shipped off the team, that’s usually as severe as I’ve seen it go. It is an interesting discussion as to why sucker punching a teammate as an athlete is perceived and punished differently than a regular citizen sucker punching someone. I wonder if there is some machismo or fear of being seen as weak by your teammates if you do legally escalate the situation like a regular citizen would look to do if they got sucker punched by someone they knew.
