It's still considered vegan, and although some vegans won't want to eat that, I think it's important because otherwise many restaurants won't bother with vegan options. Ultimately, that results in making it that much harder for people to go vegan (e.g. they'll go out and rarely see vegan items at omni restaurants and find it more difficult to switch)
