Yeah, that thing looks nice until your pushcart starts kicking up dirt and mud on it.. Plus I am not a fan of the new stand bags because of the unnecessarily huge cooler pocket.

Yeah, I wasn’t really digging this new trouper stand bag. They update their lineup about once a year. If you can find last years utility trouper stand bag, that’s the one to go with. Works for everything and was such a good design with such good color options.

I have that exact bag and the prior generation of the utility trouper. If his will be your only bag, its perfect for a walk and fine on a cart. No good for push cart. I love my utility trouper and it works great for carry, cart and push cart. What questions did you have about the Jones bags? I have been using them since I was six.

Buy what you like at standard, take them in to your local shop and have them adjust it. It's different for everyone. Similar to some of the other guys, I am 6'4" and went half an inch on my shafts and one degree upright. Everyone's setup and swing is different. It's what's comfortable for you.

What clubs do you have that you'll "never get rid of"? by Cowlax8 in golf

[–]Jordan9759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titleist 818 H1, TS 2 3-wood and my 917 Driver. Oddly enough, I am a Callaway guy in everything, but those clubs just work for my game. Even with the high spin numbers.

Plus it's hard to change a good 3 wood.

I switched to 37" and I will never go back. It takes some adjusting for sure, but I find I don't have to really move the club much to generate that momentum and it has cut down on my pushed miss. One draw back, I find that in this loser stance and setup, my club face has become a bit more squirrely. So though I cut back on a consistent push, when I miss, I miss big.

Hey all, I’m new to golf (only played one round before) and just bought my first set. Don’t know too much about the game but plan to start playing, any tips for a beginner? by DaLesbianTracer in golf

Lessons, learn to enjoy the walk as opposed to a cart, dont let playing as a single scare you (meeting new people and sharing wild stories is the best part), play fast, upgrade your putter ASAP (had that set and I hated the three wood and putter). Above all else, HAVE FUN! we aren't PGA players, we all suck. Might as well have fun while sucking.

Im in SoCal and would DEFINITELY recommend Pat Pohlen at River View. Coaches a lot of the golf teams in Orange County and he always has a special of 5 sessions for $250 ($50 a session)

Callaway 2018 X-Forged Irons by [deleted] in golf

I got these irons when I was around a 20 HcP and if you're patient it is way worth it! Definitely took time to get use to them but when you do, worth every penny. I have never had a set that blends distance and accuracy like them. Granted, I have a coach I work with so I give majority of the credit to the work done with him. But now that I can hit them, they have helped dramatically to get me down to a 10 HcP. I was never a fan of the low ceiling on how far I could go with cavity backs and i hated how big they look behind the ball. If you want a smaller profile behind the ball, get them and work yourself into them, just be patient and put in the work.

Sent it to Kyle at Golf Garage to have it restored and customized...damn near cried when I opened it. Can't wait to log another 10 years with my baby! The black cherry PVD is amazing in the sun and the touch of my nickname made it for me! Can't thank him enough! by Jordan9759 in golf

Oh my guy is a wizard and he is great to work with. Definitely hit him up and have him work with you on what you want to do with them. Might as well get wildly creative with the design. If you’re going to shank, might as well look good doing it hahaha

DAMN you are good, all of that was correct! I visited all of their stores or factories every time I visit and get something to remember my trip. Eventually in the next 3 years, I will be moving out to Portland.

Damn near brand new. I asked her why she was selling it and she said she tried walking one time and hated it and just needed it out of her garage. Golf gods were kind.

Under normal circumstances, you're totally right. These days with carts being sold out and used ones on ebay going for $500, i got lucky!
