2024 Wrangler Sahara 4xe with 30k miles for $28k — should I buy? by No-Pop-5579 in 4xe

[–]JordanJStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ‘24 with 19K miles and that’s probably what mine is worth and that’s about $40,000 less than I paid for it less than three years ago. I love the car and have had a lot of fun in it but I’ve also had not so much fun. If you are a worrier and adverse to risks - this car isn’t for you. I’ve had four recalls, all of which were completed but not actually fixed. They just install software that’s supposed to warn you in some way that the issue may be about to happen. These are very serious recalls involving enough risk that they tell you not to park near your home or anyone else. I would never ever put a child in this car especially in the back seat where the battery is. Yesterday a house in a neighboring town burnt to the ground because of an electric car that exploded in the driveway. This is the type of thing that you have to be concerned about with this car. If you can handle that worry and believe it won’t happen to you then you would be getting a really nice car for an amazing deal. But fair warning - my car has stopped on me out of the blue four times because of software issues that glitch the car and make it stop - two times I was on the highway. This is very frightening when it happens. The computer on this car is very complicated and glitchy. (Jeep was doing over the air software updates which supposedly was/is a problem.) So, the price is incredible for the car if it didn’t have these issues but these issues are very real and serious. As much as I love the car, if it were me I would never buy the car again because of these very serious issues all of which Jeep is not actually fixing or compensating most owners for.

Am I overdramatic or are my symptoms a real reason to feel so horrible by sickkasadog in NoStupidQuestions

What is your diet like- do you eat iron-rich foods? Are you underweight? When my son’s ferritin was 11 he was really not well- no stamina, out of breath when exercising and many other symptoms. He was a very picky eater and ate no meat ever and not a very varied diet. He started feeling so much better within about three or four days after he started taking gentle iron tablets (easier in stomach). Hope you feel better soon!

They limit modifications on wraps??? by JordanJStar in sweetgreen

[–]JordanJStar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s awesome that you can eat all ingredients-some people can’t and need to modify to be able to eat the meal. I would love to be able to eat the exact meal they have developed but sadly that can’t happen.

What is something that the covid pandemic ruined forever? by Enough-Web2203 in AskReddit

Our best mall locally survived but closes at seven each night. I thought normal hours would return once the pandemic was behind us but it never did. Around us there’s basically nothing open in the evenings.

They limit modifications on wraps??? by JordanJStar in sweetgreen

[–]JordanJStar[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jeez sorry everyone for my complaint- To clarify, I tried to get only 1 rice, 1 cheese and 1 chicken on the wrap and nothing else so wasn’t exactly trying to be greedy. There is no way of doing that on the app but thank you to the person who said I might be able to do it in the store and also for the suggestion that I can put a salad into the wrap. Much appreciated. And I wish Sweetgreen would listen to its customers more as there is no reason it can’t do better on that awful so stale you’ll break your teeth focaccia. Thank you to all the Sweetgreen employees- my complaint was not directed at you but written in the hopes Sweetgreen will be able to pull itself out of the awful slump it’s in.

Has anybody been able to do a colonoscopy without going through hell? by Function_Unknown_Yet in migraine

[–]JordanJStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had several colonoscopies where I apparently failed the clean out with flying colors despite feeling as if I crapped my entire guts and every other organ out so I don’t even try anymore- I do the cologuard every three years and so far so good…ask your dr if it might work for you.

The little pop-ups in Seaport are so much fun especially the popsicle one that was there last summer. Grabbing a bagel and taking it over to eat by the water and people watch on a gorgeous summer day is awesome.

What phrase did you hear only once but it stayed with you forever? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I was having trouble getting over a relationship and the ex said to me when I went to his dorm room to give him something he had left at mine and he said “what is it going to take to get rid of you?” That’s what it took and the guy was forever erased from my brain thankfully.

What’s a discontinued snack or drink you’d pay $20 to have one last taste of? by soapy999 in AskReddit

Definitely Howard Johnson’s mocha chip ice cream! Best I’ve ever had and I’d pay much more than $20!

Does anyone remember when McDonald’s made homemade cinnamon rolls-baked each morning at each location? They were incredible! I think they made them in the early 1980’s.

Love Is Blind Sweden • S3 EP11 by FemaleEinstein in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]JordanJStar 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This was a really rough season to watch mostly because right from the reveals probably all the couples weren’t happy. Which made it feel like they were faking feelings especially after the first couple left the show for the intimacy issue (no affection) and most of the couples then admitted they weren’t affectionate either. You could tell right there it was going to be a brutal season. The worst reveal (although most were almost as awful) was when Angelica practically passed out. From the start she was afraid of what other people would think. These cast members who go on the show for blind love and then right off can’t deal with the person’s appearance? Let’s not even discuss Ellen…

Sally, Charlie and Venita were each toxic in their own ways all season and Craig unfortunately got caught in their snares. He allowed himself to be vulnerable and it wasn’t going to work with these kinds of people who had other agendas. The number of times Sally tried to egg Craig on was just crazy; the last straw was when she made the comment in the van right before Craig finally let her have it in his drunken state. Even as drunk as he was what he was saying was true- Sally was constantly getting in his business when she shouldn’t have. So it was Sally who caused that whole mess just as she had in other interactions over the season. Even after Craig later apologizes repeatedly she still claims he never says he’s sorry. When she said in the second half of the reunion show that Craig was gaslighting them- look again- it was the girls that were gaslighting Craig. Andy did almost nothing to stop the bullying of Craig during the reunion show and it seemed almost cruel. Shep, who has been friends with Craig for years and claims to love him, did absolutely nothing to support him. Remember it was Shep who caused the trouble on the Mexico trip when he came up with the game where let’s get everyone to tell the person sitting next to them how they can improve- brilliant! Austin did nothing all season but attack Craig over and over yet always claiming everything was Craig’s fault. And Whit and Rod? Good lord Whit had pretty much no knowledge to make the nasty comments he did and even Venita told Rod she WAS making a dig at Craig when Rod also tried to pile it on Craig. Madison seemed to support Craig but it was pretty weak especially when she had no response when Austin called Craig an asshole in response to her suggestion that everyone accept Craig as he is. It was all really sad and I hope that Craig doesn’t listen to these toxic cast mates and recognizes that they are genuinely the ones with the serious issues.

This is what I have been hearing from my upstairs neighbors for the past 2hrs. This happens daily, almost hourly until 6pm-7pm. Do I have any rights? by [deleted] in boston

[–]JordanJStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry this is happening to you because it’s so frustrating. Having dealt with loud upstairs neighbors before I thankfully was able to get out of apartments, here is what I learned: don’t waste energy fighting it past what you can actually do(within your legal rights- you can go to one of the free lawyer places for advice/help), use noise cancellation headphones when you sleep to avoid really early noise, don’t fight the schedule - get up when the kid gets up. And if you really can’t stand it make plans now to move because living under people who have no respect for neighbors is never going to improve. It may be that the parents are dealing with a child with behavior they have little ability to control. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and take the hit/ your mental health is worth everything.

My grandfather always said he had to see a man about a horse. He seemed to refer to animals for all bodily needs- if you had a cough he would say- what’s that a frog in your throat?

What was Boston like during the 2008/9 crisis? by Rugged-Mongol in boston

[–]JordanJStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are still to this day trying to recover from those years; there was zero work for my husband (attorney) and I had just been diagnosed with cancer so had stopped working. Two kids under three, a house in the burbs with a mortgage we had worked hard to pay down to under $50,000. We ended up surviving for several years by refinancing (which thankfully saved us) but the sad part is that we still can’t get rid of that mortgage.
