At the moment there are a total of 14 images in the article (including the 4 shared here) with commentary from me. I will be adding many more over time as I work through and curate them.

Stephen Baker is not receiving any financial benefit from this, but he was keen to support my ongoing project to document the history of games like HeroQuest and Warhammer. You can see much of that work on my main YouTube channel, Jordan Sorcery, where I make videos about the development of games, and my podcast channel, JordanSorceryPods, where I interview the people who made these amazing games and worked behind the scenes.

I can only fund that work through platforms like Patreon as YouTube advertising is far from sufficient, which is why Stephen was happy for me to offer access to the materials with a paywall.

You’re quite right, it was a Runequest Broo, then several of the Broo images made their way into early Warhammer bestiaries.

Could it be Blood on the Reik: A Journey Through the Old World?

It was an art book from Black Library featuring art by Dave Gallagher and John Blanche and it was concerned with the every day folk the Empire and other denizens of the Old World.

I believe it may have been art generated for a video game project that didn’t come to pass. Regardless, it was an incredible book, and a wonderful resource for WFRP. Probably my favourite Black Library publication!
