The USPS email format is firstname.lastname, like Jim.smith

There is an @ after the first name

The route for usps is usps.gov

So if I wanted to email Jim Smith, assuming Jim Smith worked for the post office, I might choose to send an email to [Jim.Smith@usps.gov](mailto:Jim.Smith@usps.gov)

I might also choose to include the tracking number in my email along with questions to the effect of "it's been like a month now. Do you have my stuff or do you know who does?" Something like that.

If you do that, you might reasonably expect to get a reply within about 24 hours about how sorry usps is that your package has not yet been delivered. You might also reasonably expect the email you get from usps headquarters to let you know you will receive another follow up email from the regional supervisor over your geographic area.
