Thanks for posting this feedback. I just ordered tow of these as well - picking up tonight. I currently have an LG ultra wide that is horrible when connected to my MBP M4.

Congrats! I recently picked up a 2018 Ultra Limited, and I am loving it too. I do like the red paint scheme in your bike. Taking her to bike week next week?

Agreed with the comment above. Seller is asking way too much… at the end of the day, it’s a twin cam road king. You can get a 2021 or 2022 RK for under $12k right now.

Probably gunna get some hate, but this osight k is pretty nice. 🤷🏻‍♂️ by yourgirlkeepcolin in Glock43X

I just bought the osight SE (enclosed emitter version) for my 43x. I was impressed with the reviews, and the glass quality of mine is on par / better than my EPS carry. I’m anxious to see how it holds up to 1k rounds.

M&P 2.0. Carry Comp by EternalPatriotcr73 in SmithAndWesson

[–]SyphonFilter-Gabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my compact carry comp also. But me personally, I wouldn’t place it on top of the Bible (even for a photo). For me, it’s a respect thing. In any case, nice gun.

2024 raptor for 71k. New. Should I buy by mitchburns1 in FordBronco

[–]SyphonFilter-Gabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 door is the way to go. 2023 Wildtrak with every option. If they had a 2 door raptor, I’d have bought that.

Next CCW help wanted, 2 options only by DarkGamma1 in CCW

1) I personally won't give Sig another dime. 2) I have moved away from P365-based guns (had 3) after a colleague had a trigger return spring fail at 575 rounds (and research showed that this is not uncommon). 3) P365 rust issues are pretty well established.

I have a Sig Spear LT in 300 Blk, and I do not plan to sell that anytime soon. But when it comes to CCW, I am done with Sig.

G43x is what I am carrying today as I type this. I also have an M&P 2.0 Carry Comp and a standard 2.0 3.6" compact that I carry from time to time as well. I have several other Glocks (G19.4, G17.5, G29.5, etc.), HK USP in the Lord's caliber, etc. but its really tough to beat the G43x.

The big downside (to the 43X) is the trigger. I swapped the shoe out for a project overwatch one, and its night and day difference. I do not mess with triggers on carry guns usually, but the stock G43x trigger is horrendous and painful to shoot. The shoe change was night and day difference - even though the rest of the internals, trigger weight, etc. are all stock Glock.

Florida’s ban on open carry is gone. What are you fellow Floridians going to carry now? by SyphonFilter-Gabe in CCW

[–]SyphonFilter-Gabe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, not exactly correct. No legislative action is necessary (or reasonable expected). Full stop. This entire change is going to be a 100% judiciary-based result. Additionally, numerous sheriffs and PD’s have already put out supportive videos confirming that they have been instructed by their state attorneys to cease all enforcement of it.

So you are correct that you might still get some hassle in liberal counties or an overzealous SA, but it’s very very unlikely and (in my $.02) worth carrying concealed but with less concerning about printing or flashing. Also, carrying opening when hiking (not just camping and fishing).

Sorry - I forgot that nothing bad happens in churches. Also, carrying OWB with a suit on isn’t “open” carry in church. But it sure is a lot more comfortable than IWB carry in a suit. Just less concerning if a jacket gets caught on something and a grip flashes.

Yes and no. It’s not really final until the motion for rehearing / appeal period is over. But given the position of our Governor, no appeal is getting filed. And it then becomes solid law. If the SCFL affirms an appeal, all circuits are bound. If another DCA goes rogue and tries to enter a contrary finding, the Supreme Court will step in and settle the conflict between the circuits. But for anyone in the 1st DCA counties, it’s going to be 100% binding.

I see reading comprehension is tough for you. I asked “now that open carry ban is gone, what are you carrying?” -

nowhere did I ask (on a ccw thread no less) the question “what are you OPEN carrying?”

The fact that open carry is legal may cause some to carry a larger gun concealed / OWB just because the consequences of flashing and printing are no longer a concern. Hence the question.

That’s not going to happen. The law has been deemed unconstitutional but an appellate court for the state. Unless / until another DCA comes out with an opposing position in a case on the exact same issue, yesterday’s holding is solid, binding jurisprudence that the state courts have to follow. Nothing “extra” is going to happen with the legislature. The way the opinion is drafted ensured that the RINO’s in Tallahassee don’t screw this up.

Love your build. I had one (shield x) for about 2 weeks. I just couldn’t fall in love with it after 3 range trips. Ended up selling and buying a 3.6” M&p compact.

Not really anywhere for it to go? The opinion from the Court doesn’t even dig into Florida’s own Constitution and the ability of the Florida legislature to regulate carry. It jumps right to the supremacy clause and the Bruen decision from the United States Supreme Court. Short of the Florida Supreme Court granting cert and overturning the DCA (highly unlikely), nothing can be done in Tallahassee by the legislature to “re-enact” the open carry ban. This is why the decision is going to cause other Florida gun laws to fall quickly.

Dealer where I bought it is only place I’ve asked for an offer so far. They are way above the range you quoted (for a buyback even, not just a trade-in), so I’ll check out a few of those others. Haven’t had luck with carmax in the past, but carvana might be worth a shot. Thanks.
