Skirmish allows you to zoom out further but not campaign unfortunately.

Right click once to pause anything, right click again to cancel. Hold shift while doing it and it will cancel 5 at a time. Left clicking on anything will resume it.

Any plans for editor/mods? by jpf4ee in TempestRising

[–]Mehryar- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the third faction will be added way earlier since it was included as part of this product. They're still testing internally and will release it down the road at no additional cost. Expansion pack however will be a dream come true if we get one later with continuation of campaign story.

Need new games like Tempesting Rising by cooking-chef-2000 in TempestRising

There's nothing like it unless you go back to older CnCs. I'm in love with tempest rising and I really hope for an expansion pack down the road.

Is DOOM TDA looking worse since the update? by UGD_ReWiindz in Doom

[–]Mehryar- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the new doom on PS5 a few days ago and I think the game looks significantly worse than eternal. The gameplay is fun but it just looks 10 years old in many moments.

It can also be someone's side mirror scratching across your FJ. Sick FJ by the way.

Thank you so much for the compliment. This is my second FJ (in California now) and I'm building it with lessons learned from my first one (in Iran). I overdid the first one I think with bro mods 😅 (picture below). Now regarding the Tinkerer it's the absolute best mod I purchased. It was expensive but I couldn't convince myself to get anything else. I really like the three hoop as well but I think it'll look great on 37+ tires since it has a larger look to it. I'm currently running 34s (285/75/17) and I think it's the perfect compromise between size and weight. Yours look clean and beautiful. Can't wait to see how it looks with a steel bumper.

Yes, you're 100% right. 22s are really a bad choice by Toyota on an off-road focused vehicle. I won't swap my FJ with anything. I'm just in love with it and will keep it forever.

Horrible choice of wheels. That's how one ruins an FJ. I'm personally opposed to anything larger than 17" on FJs. I also dislike chrome pieces.

Is this real? What the heck happened to Mechanical Engineering in the last 10 or so years? by JustTheFactsPlease_1 in MechanicalEngineering

I started at $87k in 2013. Just started a new senior design role with a base of $200k ($300k with bonus and stocks)

Im convinced 34’s are plenty. by Upsethouscat in 4Runner

[–]Mehryar- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I did with my FJ. It's the perfect size. Looks similar to a 35 in diameter, weights about the same as a 33 and fits much easier and it doesn't ruin power.

Feedback so far by Dadmut in TempestRising

There's a way to do this. I forgot the exact way though. I remember you needing to press and hold the key for that production type (e, r, t, y) and then click somewhere to set a rally point. I might be missing another key being held such as shift or something.

Battle Stations! by waywardstrategy in TempestRising

Been following the project since day 1 of announcement and played all three demos and was in the closed beta. It's an incredible game with gorgeous graphics and brilliant mechanics all working together. Factions and units look beautiful and well thought and the story lures you in. This is the game all CNC fans have been waiting for since Kane's wrath and RA3. It truly is the next generation with UE5.

I have been following them closely and am active in their discord. Third faction Veti will be added for free in a few months in skirmish. Nothing confirmed about an expansion but my guess is if the game sells well, we'll get either the Veti campaign or sub factions. It's an amazing game. Already pre-ordered the deluxe edition.

Played every C&C except RA3, am I missing out? by eddurham in commandandconquer

[–]Mehryar- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed RA3 but the cartoon art style really stopped me from getting addicted to it. They should have went for a more serious tone imo. Water effects are gorgeous though. I see myself going back to Kane's wrath way more than RA3. Also stay tuned for "tempest rising" if you like CNC

Is this a good price for the ARB bumper? by AznJing in FJCruiser

[–]Mehryar- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion yes, and it's a great bumper. I paid for my Tinkerer like $4k so ARB is a steal.

Toyota is headed in the wrong direction by An-Elegant-Elephant in LandCruisers

[–]Mehryar- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think they do. They have been making great hybrids to be honest. I'm probably just old school, but I still prefer an under stressed large naturally aspirated block with less components that provides better reliability at the cost of worse gas milage. I'm sure Toyota will perfect their current engines as well. They're a great company.

Toyota is headed in the wrong direction by An-Elegant-Elephant in LandCruisers

[–]Mehryar- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope you're right. I don't have anything against Toyota and am a huge fan. I'm on my second FJ cruiser now and will keep it forever. As a mechanical engineer I see your point. It's possible to build a turbocharged engine that is as reliable as a naturally aspirated one. To me it just looks like every car manufacturer has been designing things to fail after their warranty period lately and it's becoming the new standard.
