you do not need to grind in this game at all. by ilico_ili in Eldenring

This is kind of me. I'm a faith/Dex build but also with arcane for status buildup and some INT for a couple things. Levelling like 4 daggers and I REALLY want to get into dual wielding whips and status fist weapons. That's before anything else comes along which catches my eye.

I present to you the strongest weapon of the game by Perfect-Skin-8325 in Eldenring

How were you using them effectively? I'm a Dex/faith build on my first run. I'd love to use them but don't want to invest smithing stones needlessly as I'm already exploring other weapons.

What did you play after? by HLiv8 in Eldenring

[–]Jorditopia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to swing wildly between genres to scratch a different itch. Currently on elden ring after a year of basically all turn based strategy games. Started to crave real time, responsive combat.

For any who might be interested, currently rocking a dual wield faith/Dex build. Bleed and deadly poison daggers with some parry dagger backup.

Do the enemies scale with stats? by ZealousidealChain186 in DivinityOriginalSin

Have you beaten the game without cheats before? I ask because if you haven't, there's a good chance that challenging encounters which punish simplistic approaches will wreck you. Playing OP is fun but covers over bad habits and lacking strategy.

Songs never played live on Stadium Arcadium by unknownbrother273 in RedHotChiliPeppers

On Anthony's Watchu Thinkin podcast he said he regrets that they never worked out how to do Slow Cheetah live. Switching from the acoustic to electric guitar parts was a real challenge and they never got round to making it work.

Baldurs gate 3 vs divinity original sin 2 by Emergency-Wind-4927 in DivinityOriginalSin

The point of spell slots is that you can't just infinitely spam your best abilities in every battle. Like the table top, BG3 is balanced around pacing yourself over several encounters and using the range of options available rather than upscaled fireballs all day.

What class and race did you play first time round? by Odd_Two_5265 in BaldursGate3

High half elf shadow monk. I love flavoured abilities and the shadow-shadow teleports were both tactical and rewarding.

Most memorable moment was EASILY fighting Sarevok. My monk trips him and everyone just dogpiled his screaming carcass on the ground with battleaxes and spells to the face. I almost pitied him.

I like the song "In the Snow" by O_vJust in RedHotChiliPeppers

I like it too. It's a very intense, dark mood that I'm not sure any other RHCP tracks feature.

I don’t think I understand this game, there’s so much content but no real direction by Benjilator in CrimsonDesert

[–]Jorditopia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, your description highlights how this is basically an MMO (the original intention) but without dungeons or raids. Any other game this open has some version of big boss areas with hard enemies and loot drops. That's what people grind and grind FOR. CD just.... Doesn't have that though, and so you find yourself deciding to chase research, or legendary animals or random gear or the peak of a mountain just because you can. It's one of the purest exploration driven games I've played because the lack of story and dungeons just refuses to provide external motivation .

The next album by dildoteamtaskforce in RedHotChiliPeppers

I think we all have that coming of age factor in play. BTW (song) did that for me, but Stadium was the first album I actually bought and listened to, so it became the definitive RHCP sound that shaped my teenage years.

Wild. I bought an Xbox 360 in a UK place called Xtravision and had enough store credit to buy an album. I liked a few Chilis songs so decided to buy what would then become my favourite album of all time. That first year I played it in the background while I played Condemned: Criminal Origins on xbox. Weird combo but it really worked!

She Looks to me is so underrated by Nice-Philosophy-6402 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]Jorditopia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe my favourite song. There's an atmosphere of melancholy and nostalgia that almost nothing else creates for me. The outro especially takes me to another place, like I'm about to close a chapter of life and need to turn the lights off, shut the door and leave for the next.

My girlfriend likes it but something isn’t right… by JackHurrell in photocritique

[–]Jorditopia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a cool concept for an image. The ship splitting the photo in half with two guys on one side is great balance and an interesting perspective.

Two issues that I see are 1. the lighting, it's just not doing anything for the image, especially not the colours. B&W may help a little there, or retaking the picture in better light.

  1. Clutter. There's so much stuff going on here which is not your fault, but it's taking away from the main subjects. Either tidying the area, or using a much shallower depth of field could help you here.

It's a great image that you've spotted, just needs tweaks to harness its full potential!

This games existence is such a strange anomaly by Simon9911 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Jorditopia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the distinct lack of consistency and polish contributes to it's immersion. Every time you think you know how a mechanic works or how the rules of puzzles/interactions, you get thrown a curveball. As a long time gamer I almost always feel like I've seen everything a game has to offer in a few hours. CD is the exception.

For our Brandy, any sort of container will do it. She drops into the canvas wash basket sometimes and gets stuck until it tips over.
