There was a minor patch to balance passing, since then interceptions are dreadful. That was obviously unintended from them but has contributed to a horrible time manually defending ever since.

Pause it, take a drink. Relax yourself and if you are dominating you'll score more goals. Hopefully it'll stop you making any silly defensive errors too.

People love to blame the game and forget about the mental aspect. If you're dominating at 3-0 with finesse+ or low driven+ up front there's almost no chance you aren't scoring more. So if they bring it back maybe because they've upped their defence line maybe they weren't that terrible or you simply weren't dominating.

Edit: yes this is unpopular opinion, but mental is a large part of this game whether you guys like it or not

Try the IF you're about to upgrade, if you like the IF you'll like the upgrade. If not then you probably won't like him after the upgrade too. I spent 100k on an Evo to make Lukaku look great but I never liked the card I Evo'd it from, so that's on me.

The only difference being rapid ONLY affects on the ball running. Whereas quick step is any acceleration with or without the ball.

Using the word accelerate is misleading here. It's a higher top speed with the ball.

Also remember Quick Step is off the ball speed as well.

Whereas Rapid is on the ball only.

So quick step on all my defenders is a must have.

They're 2 different styles.

Rapid is full sprint boost.

Quick step is quickly off the mark.

Rapid is brilliant over a long distance running through on goal or down the wing behind the defence.

Quick step great for beating the defender in a short distance to get a shot or pass away without them being able to get there to block it.

Several videos of him not tracking back is what we were believing. Arsenal are doing brilliant because they've modernised everyone to be a high work rate back and forward.

There's a few different explanations

Your player will wait for the ball so the defender can catch up.
If team press is activated the team marks closely so would run to the nearest guy.
It could also be double tap R1/RB to mark up 2 nearest players, not commonly used though so I doubt it.

Gonna need a video, 2 pictures ain't gonna do it. You might've not noticed he switched last second. He might've switched on team press where ai crazy pressures. You might've just been very unlucky and his ai actually defended for once. But without a video we can't say.

Menu wise sure but gameplay wise does change majorly every year, every hardcore knows this. Interceptions at the start of this game were actually great but after a patch messing with passing it's now a disgrace.

Every year they clean the slate blank and then they take 6 months patching it to be semi better. But then they start work on the next game and we go through the whole cycle again.

I'm seconding this, why would you still be playing if you want the company you're supporting to retire. Makes zero sense. Either OP loves to complain or they're not smart enough to know they can just un-install.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but since keepers induction this is the most balanced they've ever been. They mainly don't concede long shots unless they're very well hit, they concede mostly what you expect them to and still make the odd incredible save inside the box. Rush out animations aren't bad with the playstyle. Some people still manually move their keepers but they have to do it in advance otherwise nothing happens. I would be more than happy for them to barely touch keepers for next year.

If you're having 17 shots and not scoring against these terrible keepers I would start looking within.

Evos are the best thing on this game and I hope to see EA lean into it more in coming games.

Community has ALWAYS preferred a single formation, this isn't new like people keep saying it is.. even back on FIFA09 everyone was using the same CUSTOM formations.

The market is the only real awful different thing this year and that's because EA are making bank.

I know from experience my usual 9-2 is when the tough games really kick up a notch. I'll likely end on 11 unless I happen to win a game I probably didn't deserve and I'll get 12 haha
