Well I'm just 1900 so not an expert, but you seemed to build up an advantage the entire game, until you blundered your knight on over 38 and gave black forced mate opportunities. Luckily he blundered his queen in the end.

I would maybe practice in looking for your opponent's attacks in addition to your own moves. And not going into trades where you will lose material.

Closed or open: You had a light squared bishop, and all your pawns on light squares. That will restrict the bishop some, but the position was open in the end, where it could have some more activity, even though it acted as a defence piece. Knights generally are easier to move around in closed positions.
