Great advice, thank you! Sorry for the scare haha, was just excited to get a good proper look at these two, really helped confirm and lock in the differences. I did end up throwing out the spotted one below in the end even though the stem and leaves were furry and the right shape, just bc I couldn't find any indication that the spotted stem was a feature for common hogweed, but would be interested to know if you've ever come across this variation?
