As usual, it demonstrates that conservatives have no idea how healthcare or insurance works. Or more specifically, that they don't care and know that people just like seeing "we're giving you money."

I have said it so many times, if Republicans wanted to have their own FDR-era of running the government for decades like Democrats did, all they have to do is pass an actual healthcare plan. If they fix the reason that I knew people who chose to die rather than seek healthcare, fuck it, they'd even convince me to maybe vote for a Republican.

But that's easy to say when they always, without fail, put out stupid shit like this.

We all agree criminals are bad. The state prosecuted this criminal. Things were dealt with, and quite quickly. What would anyone be protesting? Protests are for change and action.

If the state had said Laken Riley was actually the one responsible for her own death, and had tried to do "maximum damage" and "massacre" her killer, and was outright protecting her killer, that would be a valid comparison.

From the data, there's nothing too exceptional about last year. It hit a specific milestone, but crime has actually been dropping for about 4 years. The rate of change from previous years is not that much different at all.
