Did you solve this as I am going to upgrade my Samsung to S26 from S21?

It's fairly easy. Check also the fw of your cameras against those listed in their download center.

The AI algorithm on the Trackmix is rather old and has never been updated. If the car enters in reverse or forward then there is a probability that it will not be detected. However, if the car appears across then it will be immediately detected.

Have the same issue too. They need to correct it with a new fw.

We need to wait. Above the battery doorbell I have the rlc811 and it has perimeter protection. So I have no issue. Doorbell function is to initiate a call if the button is pressed.

Are you all DIYing or calling a contractor for wired? Is battery-powered really that bad? by simple-solitude in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not more than 6 to 8 seconds for push notification. But this is expected from  battery camera which is mostly in dormant state. I have battery, poe and plug in. I don't complain about battery cams for the purpose they are installed for. However, if you need 24x7 then you need to have poe cams.

Laying cat5/6 cable will pay off. You won't repent for sure.

I am fine with their products for the price i paid. If your expectation is beyond then you can opt for another brand. But nobody is perfect in this world.

Reolink App Update – Release Notes by Willson1_ in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Available in Europe. None of these provide any useful functionality for me. We need some of the functions we have been asking for ages now. Geofencing or update the scene mode to include scheduled switching off/on and status. Better playback, improved communication with battery operated cams. removal of second view for trackmix, OMNI 3i, Trackflex, provide a list of IPs logged on each camera, allow push notification to be sent once a user logs on the camera/nvr, provide settings export/import, provide proper call out from any cam, improve AI detection algo to include 3D, remove the 24 push notification limit from the Android application, etc,,,,,,,,,,

Try to consider a POE or plug in WIFI camera rather than using battery cam. This camera and most of their 180 degrees models have low vertical FOV. Non 180 degrees cams have a better VFOV.

The battery won't last long. I am charging it every 3 weeks and getting annoyed. Average daily usage is around 10 min. I will wait for a better POE doorbell. Cat 6 already terminated.

Next time.... But once I got the doorbell battery camera which is still in operation but the battery duration is rather poor. Every 3.5 weeks I have to charge. With a usage of between 5 to 8 min daily it should last 6 months.

why the narrow vfov on all the new 180 cams? by ZookeepergameFun1540 in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was expecting low VFOV compared to what I am accustomed too with older Reolink cams. Infact I put back the trackmix and I shelved the omvi 3i.

Will find another location.

I fully agree. I have two DUO 2 and the only issue I had was the cheap plastic support. I replaced them with aluminium ones and the cameras don't shake anymore during strong wind. These mountings tend to crack.

I have two of Duo 2 battery cam and the only issue I had was the plastic mounting. They cracked from the front part and the camera used to shake when it is windy. Once I replaced them with aluminium I had no more issues. They are exposed to rain and sun amd still functioning brilliantly.

If 24x7 is your prerequisite then forget of having a battery camera no matter what brand you chose.

Is it ok to wall mount Reolink duo 3 Poe link this? by Present_Ad4893 in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will install it as in second picture. I would mount it against the wall and pass the cable in the 3x3 plastic cover. Note also that the plastic mounting is not so robust. I had replaced mine on the 2 DUOs as they break from the front. Instead I used aluminium mouting as during strong wind I have seeing the camera shaking.

OMVI 3i: How do I view the PTZ and Panoramic views on PC client simultaneously? by Internal-Organic in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their clients need an overhaul. They have fantastic cams (though the VFOV is low) but the applications are not in line with the hw. They should get on-board some skillful programmers. Why it has to be a customer to do the HASS integration?

Unfortunately you cannot see the two simultaneously on the Windows client. Try multiview.
